Summary: Four essential attitudes for fulfilling your God-given dream. First sermon in four-part series, "Dreaming Big for God".

And what is the shield in our God-given armor?

Ephesians 6:16 (CEV) "Let your faith be like a shield, and you will be able to stop all the flaming arrows of the evil one."

In order to win the spiritual battle involving the realization of our God-given dreams we will have to believe what we cannot see.

Hebrews 11:9-10 (Msg) "By an act of faith, he (Abraham) lived in the country promised him, lived as a stranger camping in tents...10 Abraham did it by keeping his eye on an UNSEEN city with real, eternal foundations - the City designed and built by God."

Walt Disney’s widow was being interviewed after the completion of Disney World in Florida. The reporter remarked, "Isn’t it a shame that your husband never got to see this?" Mrs. Disney quickly corrected him. "He did see it. That is why it is here!"

People who keep their eyes on the prize get to see what others cannot see.

Abraham was one of those people.

Will you be one?

1. Realize your dream will be tested.

2. Remember God offers reassurance. You’re not in this thing alone!

3. Replace any fear you might have with faith.

4. Recognize the great reward that awaits you for fulfilling your God-given dream.

What dream has God given you? Do you long for family and friends to come to faith in Christ? Never stop dreaming that dream!

Can you see God helping you overcome your family problems, your financial problems...do you have educational dreams for your self or your children? Is there a dream for your job that lies unfulfilled? Do you dream of God using you in a bigger way?

Believe these great words of God today: "Don’t be afraid, I will protect you; your reward will be great."

Never give up on your God-given dream!

On the message title: "Fulfilling Your God-Given Dream ", it was stated that Abram while in Egypt told a lie about his wife being his sister so that Pharaoh won’t kill him. Pharaoh takes Sarai into his harem but God protects her in spite of Abram’s deception and she is returned to Abram untouched. I belived it was at Gerar that Abram told a lie to Abimelech and not Pharaoh as contained in Genesis 20:1-12. Please could this be a typing error in the message that can be corrected in the posting on the web site? Let me know your findings. Thanks and God bless you.

Jesus died for sinners one of these was Abraham another was me. I don't know if Abraham technically lied but he certainly made a mistake. That is what Jesus died for. Good sermon thank you

Abel .... Genesis 12:14-20 contains the story of the deception to Pharoah. Abraham used the line about his wife being his sister twice.

As for me i will not say Abraham lied. because Bible recorded that she is her sister in Genesis 20;12 so he can used to call her sister or wife,as the situation suite him, God did not reprimand him, its also happened in Gerar with Abimelech not pharaoh, for me Abraham should have ask God where the land is when God call him out of his family because he spend 40 years sojourn in the land without knowing, sometimes our promise delayed because we don't ask God right questions , to fulfill Gods dreams in our life we need to ask him question as virgin Marry did, angel Gabriel said you will conceive and born the messiah she ask HOW CAN IT BE ?. Then Angel Gabriel told her the Holy Spirit will come and over shadow you, can you imagine if she did not ask the angel and found herself pregnant ?,in order to fulfill our Gods dream let us ask God needed questions,
