The Ultimate Decision

In reading about the early church in the book of Acts the Lord was starting His work through the apostles by the power of the Holy Spirit. BEFORE they could do anything they needed the Holy Spirit for power, wisdom, to speak truth and to know what to do next. In the message Stephen said before he was stoned to death he spoke of Abraham:

Genesis 12:1 “The LORD had said to Abraham, “Go from your country, your people and your father's household to the land I will show you."

Abraham obeyed and he is now the father of all nations. Abraham heard from God and went. Today many of you have heard from the Lord by the prompting that you get in your Spirit. Sorry to say that many of us have missed some huge opportunities and blessings because we wanted to know the entire plan of action BEFORE we left the comfort of home. God is not about comfort but all about obedience.

There have been many things that have happened in our ministry that don’t make sense but that is OK. I know what we should be doing and I know I am not the one leading. Whenever I get out ahead of the Lord things always fail. So what has God been saying to you that you need to stop coming up with all the excuses of “Why Not” and just “Go”? Peter would never have experienced God’s power if he had not taken that second foot out of the boat and actually walked on water. Don’t focus on Peter sinking but look at that he actually did it.

Abraham left all his relatives and the comfort of home and went.

Joshua was told to march around Jericho and blow a trumpet. That didn’t make sense but he obeyed and was victorious.

Moses put up his staff and the Red Sea parted. It didn’t make sense that they left Egypt and then they were surrounded. But God when He tells you to go will ALWAYS find a way to set you free. If is when we TRY to hang onto worldly comfort that the things of this world are a poor replication of the truth. We settle for pig slop when we could have fine dining. Just ask the Prodigal Son.

If you want to lead a Spirit filled, exciting, joyful and purpose driven life then you need to “Go” when asked. Don’t wait, just go. Remember the timing is never right to do anything. But Faith has nothing to do with timing. Faith is trusting in God no matter what our circumstances are in life.

“Lord many reading this now are in a dead end job or have no purpose in their life. Please speak to them today by your Spirit and please give them the faith to step out and Go. Not only to fulfill your purpose for their lives but also to help them to feel alive again. You have set us free so please help us to live like we have been set free when many live like they have made their own prison. Lord you can set everyone free today. Please help us Lord to Go.”

Listen to God, “Be still” and he will tell you when but maybe not where. It may not make sense to others but don’t worry what the world thinks, just worry about what God thinks.

Listen to Him - His desire for you to excel was made before you were ever born. Fulfill your destiny.
