“From Victims To Victors!!!”

(The Importance Of Relationship)

II Kings 6:8-17; Romans 8:28, 31-35, 37-39

II Kings 6

8. Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp.

9. And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down.

10. And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.

11. Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel?

12. And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.

13. And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan.

14. Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.

15. And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

16. And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

17. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Romans 8

28. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

31. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32. He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

33. Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.

34. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

37. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

When we have relationship with GOD the Father:

(II Kings 6)

1. GOD will warn us and steer us around the traps and evil intentions of the enemy!

(v. 8-10)

2. It will cause us to be known to others around us and will also make us a target of the enemy!

(v. 11-14)

3. We will have access to supernatural help and Heavenly intercession even in the very presence of danger or adversity!

(v. 15-16)

4. GOD can use us to increase the faith of others around us at the time that they need it the most and also cause them to see His presence in certain situations!

(v. 17)

We also have divine assurances through the Faith we have in GOD:

(Romans 8)

1. If we truly love GOD and are walking according to His purpose, we can be assured that everything is going to work out in our favor and work together for our good!

(v. 28)

2. When we really have relationship with GOD, we come to know who He really is! It is this knowledge that should undoubtedly convince us that there is no force, problem, circumstance, person, group, idea, obstacle, illness, or opposition that is greater than He is!

(v. 31)

3. We should also be assured that if GOD was willing to take from Himself the Most Precious possession He had in His Only Begotten Son to sacrifice Him for our sins His love for us must be just as precious! Therefore, it is through JESUS CHRIST that our sins are forgiven and our salvation is made secure! It is also through JESUS CHRIST that we have access to all things! {see page 3}
