From Crisis To Conquest

Summary: When attending Bible School in Edinburgh, Scotland, I was constantly confronted by a statement that hung on the dining room wall.
5. THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE PROCESSION 20:20-21
A. Notice the SONG 20:21
They advanced to the battle field, noy as an army going to battle, but as an army returning from battle, singing the anthem of victory. They sang, in the confidence that God had already intervened, and given them the victory!
Matthew Henry commenting says,"By this strange advance towards the filed of battle, Jehosaphat intended to express his firm reliance upon the Word of God."
B. Notice the SCENE 20:22-24 - It was a scene of utter devastation, as the Lord turned the enemy on each other.
6. THE ABUNDANCE OF THE PLUNDER 20:25
God gave them MORE than they could carry away. Our God is the God of the ABUNDANT MEASURE!
Conclusion:
The God who intervened on behalf of Jehosaphat and his people, is the same God that we serve. He is able to intervene in our Nation, as we too face an hour of national and personal crisis!
The Hymn writer put's it well,"We'll praise Him for all that is passed, and trust Him for all that's to come!"
