For God Is Our Peace

FOR GOD IS OUR PEACE

John 16: 33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Ephesians 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

When will we learn peace is found in Jesus?

1.Happiness is temporary thing.

When all is well we are Happy. When things go bad we are unhappy.

Freedom from strife and mental and agitation.

Matthew 11: 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Here is the peace of Christ to us.

2. Here is God’s secret to peace.

Philippians 4: 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Tell God about it.

Talk over everything with God before you do it.

Philippians 4: 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

3. There is no peace for the wicked.

Isaiah 57: 19 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.

20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.

21 There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

Reject Christ you have no peace

Romans 3: 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:

17 And the way of peace have they not known:

18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

4. There is a false peace.

Jeremiah 6: 14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.

When you tell men this they will turn on you.

False religions Modernist all have no peace.

If it is not from Christ it is false.

Money gives false peace. Fame gives false peace.

Religion gives false peace.
