Summary: In recent times, we have witnessed numerous events unfolding in the world that seem to align with the prophetic visions revealed to John. While the chaos and uncertainty can be unsettling, I want to remind you of the joy we can find in the knowledge that we are nearing our eternal home.

I. Signs of the End Times:

The book of Revelation provides vivid imagery and prophecies concerning the events leading up to the second coming of Jesus Christ. In Matthew 24:6-8, Jesus Himself foretold that before His return, there would be wars, famines, earthquakes, and pestilences. As we look around the world today, we see these signs becoming increasingly prevalent. Yet, in the midst of these challenging times, we can find solace in the assurance that the fulfillment of these prophecies signifies that the Lord's return is near.

II. Our Heavenly Home:

In John 14:2-3, Jesus offers a comforting promise to His disciples, saying, "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." These words assure us that Jesus is preparing a heavenly dwelling place for His followers, where we will dwell with Him for all eternity. No matter how challenging our earthly circumstances may become, we can find joy in the hope of our heavenly home.

III. The Triumph of Good over Evil:

Revelation unveils a cosmic battle between good and evil, between Christ and the forces of darkness. The prophecies describe the rise of the Antichrist, the persecution of believers, and the tribulations that will precede the ultimate victory of Christ. In Revelation 12:11, we read, "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." As followers of Christ, we can find joy and courage in knowing that through His sacrifice and our unwavering faith, we can overcome any trial or tribulation we may face.

IV. Rejoicing in the Lord's Return:

In Revelation 21:4, we are given a glimpse of the future glory that awaits us, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." These words remind us that our present sufferings are temporary, and a time is coming when God will wipe away every tear and bring an end to all pain and sorrow. This knowledge should fill our hearts with joy and anticipation as we eagerly await the glorious return of our Lord and Savior.

Conclusion:

Dear friends, although we see the signs of the end times all around us, we need not fear or be dismayed. Instead, let us find joy in the fact that our eternal home is being prepared, and that our Savior will soon return to set all things right. Let us cling to the promises of God's Word and find comfort in the knowledge that we are secure in His hands. May this joy and hope sustain us in the midst of any challenges we may face, and may it inspire us to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those around us.
