Trust in God's work, recognize His presence in our world, and live out His love, mercy, and grace.

Introduction

Good morning, Church family! Today, we're going to dive headfirst into a passage that challenges us to recognize God's presence in our world, to live out His love and mercy, and to share His grace with others.

Before we get started, let me share this quote from Germany Kent, "Let your life reflect the faith you have in God. Fear nothing and pray about everything. Be strong, trust God's word, and trust the process." Kent reminds us that our job is to trust and to act as God's hands and feet in this world.

Now, let's look at the words of Jesus from the book of Matthew, chapter 22, verses 15-22.

Recognizing God's Presence in Our World

Recognizing God's presence in our world is about acknowledging that God is not a distant, detached deity, but rather an intimate, involved Creator who is actively participating in His creation. This recognition is not always easy, especially when we are faced with challenges and difficulties. However, it is in these very moments that we are invited to see God's hand at work, guiding us, supporting us, and leading us towards His purpose.

Developing a God-consciousness: This is a perspective that sees God in everything and everyone. It's about seeing God in the beauty of nature, in the kindness of a stranger, in the laughter of a child, in the comfort of a friend, in the challenges that make us grow, and even in the trials that test our faith. It's about seeing God not just in the extraordinary, but also in the ordinary moments of our daily lives.

Understanding His sovereignty: It's about knowing that He is in control, even when things seem chaotic and uncertain. It's about trusting that He is working out everything for our good and His glory, even when we can't see the bigger picture. It's about believing that He is with us, even when we feel alone and abandoned. It's about resting in the assurance that He is for us, even when we face opposition and resistance.

Experiencing His love: It's about feeling His compassion, His mercy, His grace, and His peace. It's about knowing that He cares for us, that He understands us, that He forgives us, and that He accepts us. It's about realizing that He is not just a God who is out there, but a God who is here with us, a God who is in us, a God who is for us.

Responding to His call: It's about hearing His voice, following His lead, obeying His command, and fulfilling His will. It's about being His hands and feet, His voice and vessel, His light and love. It's about being a reflection of His image, a demonstration of His character, a manifestation of His presence.

A reality to be lived: It's not just a doctrine to be taught, but a lifestyle to be modeled. It's not just a belief to be professed, but a truth to be practiced. It's not just a theology to be studied, but a relationship to be enjoyed.
