Fiery trial!

1 Peter 4:12”Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;”

You’ll never find a rainbow if you are looking down! We keep concentrating on the problem, make circles around the issue, talk about it, chat over it, meditate over it and browse about it ……….instead of looking above from where our help comes. Amen.

Psalm 121:1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills --- From whence comes my help?

My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.

We fail because we have already decided not to face the challenge! Accolades, trophies and victory are for those who dare to venture a tough arena!

An amazing mother faced a tremendous challenge, when both her kids became victims of a rare eye disease called congenital glaucoma, the son lost sight in both his eyes at the age of seven while his sister has partial vision in the right eye while the left is totally blind; I’m sure, anyone would go bonkers over such a situation!! But this wonderful lady mustered her courage to stand by her children and help them face life! Despite being visually challenged, her son topped the Industrial Engineering exam and her daughter is now pursuing B.Sc. The mother put the extra effort to help him write and also made clay models of various things so that he can touch and feel the shape, she also made maps out of clay, using cotton for him to identify and she also learnt Braille script to assist her kids. Isn’t she a wonder woman? They can, because they think they can!

Don’t succumb to pressure, find ways to wriggle out! It is not about smartly visiting the best surgeon in town – I’m not against it, though – but open the Bible and read what God has got in store for you. The Bible says: “….by His stripes we are healed!” (Isaiah 53:5) Look at this scripture closely, what does it say? “By His stripes we are healed!’ Not will be healed but are healed. Hallelujah! Say it over and over again friends! Don’t look at the disease, don’t look at the symptoms, don’t look at the pain or the doctor’s report, concentrate on His Word! Are you listening to me? It is a spiritual exercise, keep reading His Word over and over again until the fear vanishes! I am speaking to someone out there! Touch the area where there is pain and speak the promises of God with faith – I tell you, you will feel gorgeous! I have done it innumerable times in my life!

I’m not talking about head pain or tooth ache – I’m talking about fiery trials! Gird yourself to face it! Every Christian has got to be prepared for the ‘fiery trial’ that may shoot up unannounced, it may be: illness, serious doctor report, loss of job, financial crisis, problems in relationship, misunderstandings…whatever, roll up your sleeves to face the challenge and come out victoriously. Dispel the fear! Amen. You’ve got to be made up of sterner stuff to counter attack the enemy! Look at what Apostle Peter said: “Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind…”( 1 Peter 4:1) Same mind as Christ! Don’t complain, don’t panic, don’t get bitter, neither run away from God, face the situation with the same mind as Christ.

You are conqueror through Jesus Christ! Cheer up friends!
