Intro:
Birth Pains
In the beginning mild but as time comes closer to delivery, pains increase in strength and frequency.
As a believer in Christ, we can see birth pains taking place.
We can see the intensity and the frequency increasing.
And many in this world have no clue as to what is going on.
Blind Spiritually
Jesus said it best in the gospel of Matthew 13:13-16
Reminds me of the story of Noah and the ark
Whereas he was building the ark he kept preaching the message of a coming flood, of judgment to soon come but the people would not listen or head to the message.
They just continued with their lives as if nothing was about to take place.
As we look back on the past 2 years we have seen:
Chaos, Cities burning down,
lawlessness, plaque, food shortages,
seeing water shortage as rivers are drying up, cattle dying in the field, farmers not planting in their fields,
our children invade with homosexuality and gender confusion as schools and even churches bring in transgenders to talk to our children
and a government that is clueless,
A Nation that was at one time the most powerful influential Nation
brought down to its knees.
In 1965 Billy Graham wrote a book World A flame
And His wife Ruth reading the book before publishing told Billy Graham
"Billy, if God doesn't come soon and bring judgment upon the United States, He's going to have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah!"
We see a world under judgment from a Holy God.
And much like this time tucked away in the Bible is a message to a people.
That not only applied to them but to every born-again true believer follower of Jesus Christ.
This prophecy applies not only to Jacob but to every follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.
As a follower of Christ, we are included in this promise.
I Formed you
I redeemed you
I called you by name
You are MINE
When not if
You pass through the waters, I will be with YOU
Through the rivers they shall not overflow you.
Through the Fire you will not be burned.
For “I am” the Lord your GOD
The Holy on of Israel
Your Saviour.
I AM WHO I AM
Saying I AM Everything you need.
I am your redeemer
I am your healer
I am your provider
I am the bread of life
I am the good shepherd
I am the light of the world
I am the door
I am the true vine
I am the way and the truth and the life
I am the resurrection and the life
“I am the Alpha and Omega.”
I am your Fortress
I am your Hightower
See now that I, I am He,
And there is no god besides Me.
It is I who put to death and give life.
I have wounded and it is I who heal,
And there is no one who can deliver from My hand.
IN CHRIST
we do not have to live in fear all we need to do Is turn to our GOD.
We see a people that had not kept God in first place, and He is calling them to come back.
Learning to water Ski as a kid.
Get ready to get out of the boat, life jacket, skis, the ski rope
Trying to put those skis on 2 small pieces of wood to balance in the water, grab the rope and try to get ready was a great difficulty for me.
Once you were ready you would message to the boat captain, I’m ready
And he would take of as fast as the boat could go to get you up and out of the water.
The question this morning are you ready?
