Contributed by Wade Martin Hughes, Sr on Mar 18, 2026 (message contributor)
Summary: We are to grow and improve. There is a real obstacle before us. Fear, worry and self doubt will hinder our growth. Fearwill cause the big bad wolf to thrive.
FEAR MAKES THE WOLF GROW BIGGER… CELEBRATE GOD ALL DAY, DON’T FRET

LET US LOOK AT ANOTHER IMPERATIVE COMMAND IN THE BIBLE.
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
GROW? WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO GROW, INCREASE AND IMPROVE IN DAILY LIVING?
33% of High school graduates never read another book the rest of their lives. 42% of college graduates never read another book after college graduation. 57% of new books are not read to completion. The more a child reads the likelier they are to understand the emotions of others. Are we satisfied to stay the same?
WE OFTEN FACE OBSTACLES AND CHALLENGES THAT ARE SPIRITUAL BATTLES. WHAT WE CALL OBSTACLES AND CHALLENGES ARE REALLY OPPORTUNITIES TO SOW SEEDS AND REAP HARVESTS. DO WE UNDERSTAND THE ROLE OF SPURS ON A COWBOY’S BOOTS?
Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Hebrews 10:24 (MSG) Let's see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out,
Hebrews 10:24 (NLT2) Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.
Hebrews 10:24 (NIV) And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
I have great hope that everyone that listens or read my works will accept God’s imperative command to study and grow to a DEEPER COMMITMENT TO THE CROSS. May we invest more than just our money, but invest our resources, our time, our talents and our energies into things that will have ETERNAL REWARDS? Often we invest more in physical goals than spiritual goals. Why would we accept the DISTORTIONS OF OUR ENEMY TO UNDER VALUE ETERNAL GOALS?
Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
ARE WE UNHAPPY? WE LIVE IN A SAD DAY OF DISILLUSIONMENT --- THE FEELING OF DISAPPOINTMENT BECAUSE SOMETHING IS NOT AS GOOD AS WE EXPECTED.
We often chase the rainbow of gold, silver, stocks and bonds, the type of car we drive, the square footage of our homes, our budget and numbers. THERE ARISES A CRY FROM AROUND THE WORLD,.. WE DON’T CARE AS LONG AS WE HAVE FOOD.
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Life never goes as we expected. Many are so focused on the DESTINATION that they lose sight of the daily journey. There comes a “MARK OF 666” when one can not buy or sell without “THE MARK.” The mark will buy bread, food and sell the soul.
MY DEAR FRIENDS WE MUST QUIT MAKING THE WOLF GROW AND GROW. FEAR IS THE OPPOSITE OF FAITH. FEAR KILLS FAITH. THE WOLF IS FEAR AND DOUBT.
Our Father does not always remove the RED SEA in front of us. BUT GOD! Sometimes we will face a BEAR and a LION TO PREPARE US for upcoming battles. BUT GOD! Sometimes there will be a GOLIATH to mock us, BUT GOD!
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Exodus 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
SOMETIMES OBSTALCES BEFOME OPPORTUNITIES. WE MUST IRON OUT OUR DIFFERENCES AND MAKE PEACE WITH THE FACTS.
Philippians 4:2 (MSG) I urge Euodia and Syntyche to iron out their differences and make up. God doesn't want his children holding grudges. 3 And, oh, yes, Syzygus, since you're right there to help them work things out, do your best with them. These women worked for the Message hand in hand with Clement and me, and with the other veterans—worked as hard as any of us. Remember, their names are also in the book of life. 4 Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! 5 Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you're on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute! 6 Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. 7 Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
