Famine In The Land

God said that He will send famine in the land, not a famine for bread or other basic needs of man or thirst for water, But, - mark that word, But of hearing the words of the Lord. I mean the authentic, infallible, incorruptible and unadulterated word of The Lord. He said that people shall wander from sea to sea and shall search everywhere for it and would not find it.

God is saying something to our generation here. Amos saw it and its being fulfilled in our time.

My friend, there is famine in the land.

The land here can refer to many things- name it- lives, families, nations and particularly the church of Jesus Christ. So the problem of God is not with the unbelievers per-say but His messengers or His Children in this generation without His word. Indeed, there is scarcity of food in the land.

Remember, I told you in the previous edition from the words of our Lord in Matthew chapter 4:4, during his temptation by the satan in the wilderness that Jesus replied to him that, "Bread is essential but not the most". Man shall not live by bread alone- but by EVERY word which proceeds from the Lord, meaning, my you need something above your physical food to survive and that is the word of God. The word is the sustainer of life. Take it from me!

But unfortunately, the real word with the full diet and concentrates of spiritual vitamin, mineral, fat, carbohydrate and spiritual protein is lacking in our age and time and no wonder, there is spiritual malnutrition and kwashiorkor in the body.Can't you see it? At least, you know what I'm talking about. There is fire on the mountain. Just weigh yourself in the balance and consider, if you are feeding adequately?-I mean the word with eternal content and value. Well, I'm not blaming you wholly but also blaming you. Are you eating the real diet or these junks, everywhere now? You know these foods without much balanced stuff. I think what so many of us are today, is fast-food Christians or Better- life Christians. The one Jesus referred to when He fed multitude in John chapter 6 and they wanted to make him king by force, so that He will be producing bread for them- bread manufacturer. They said, Ahaa! This is the real man, the prophet we have been expecting" He withdrew himself to the other side. They sought for him. Do you know that they purchased their fares to seek for him. Beloveth, why are you seeking Jesus now? Just say the truth! You know it,- not for salvation and eternal life. Maybe for Visa document or contract, it may be for marriage only or business transactions.

When they found Jesus, They said, "Master, so you are here, and we are looking for you? Jesus knew their thoughts and the message automatically changed. He told them of relationship with the Father- that is eating His flesh and drinking His blood" Well, as human being, their language changed, "Is this, not the Carpenters son? No longer, the expected Messiah. That's human being for you!

Man of God, listen to me. You may be relevant now, I mean relevant because you are giving the people the "thing". You know what I mean? Very soon, I mean very soon, these crowd you see following you may change their address. They all deserted Jesus when He pointed to them the real reason of his coming. They exclaimed " these are hard sayings, who can bear it" They all turned their back and Jesus finally turned also to his real disciples, and asked them," Will you also gooooo? They replied, " No way! Master, we are with you. Where can we go for? you have the word of eternal life" Hallelujah!
