Fall Down and Surrender Exodus 12:12-14NKJ

‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. 13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.14 ‘So this day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to the Lord throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance.

Nine plagues have already fallen upon the Egyptian crops, animals as well as human affection. Their living conditions became uncomfortable, and even unbearable. However, because of their defiance and disobedience God would send one final plague, the plague of death. An angel that brought death would come and kill every first-born child and animal.

The only deliverance, the only escape is Jesus; Jesus Christ changes all odds!

Families forever separated.

Blame and resentment occurred.

Loved ones would mourn.

Eternal grief and mourning.

Statistically it’s proven when husband and wives go through terrible loss, many experience separation and even divorce.

The Lord showed me, many coming to home plate in a baseball game, desiring to hit the ball over the fence. They say, “this is it!” However, most strikeout, hit a foul-ball and ground out etc. “I don’t know if you have ever tried to hit a fastball coming at 100Mph, but it’s over quickly.”

The Lord said, “What I desire My people to do is come to the plate, fall down, and worship Me!”

God said to Moses in Exodus 12:13NKJ... And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

The only remedy was to place the blood of a spotless lamb upon the door posts and the lintels.

John 1:29NLT The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

The Lamb- ‘Jesus,’ walked among us, He experienced what we experience. Trails, toil, pain, abuse from religion, and even temptation, yet He never sinned!

Jesus became the perfect lamb!

Colossians 1:19-22NLT For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, 20 and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. 21 This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. 22 Yet now He has reconciled you to Himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

When you become a believer:

Christ gives you peace.

Christ reconciled you back.

Christ brought you into His presence.

Presently, you are holy and blameless without a single fault.

The incredible floating fire ant

Congress — and perhaps the rest of us — could learn a thing or two about teamwork from the dreaded fire ant. When in danger of drowning, a colony of the critters — thousands of them — will save themselves by joining forces and forming a raft. They pile together and lock legs and jaws. So bound, an ant raft can survive for months.

The Lord said, “Fall down and surrender- presently, join a friend or a stranger come to Christ!

Benediction.

Communion- first the bread. (He took it, and blessed, and said- “take, eat, this is my body. Second the juice, he took it and said, this is my blood- the New Covenant for the remission of your sins-Drink.)
