FAITH, 7TH FRUIT OF SPIRIT 7/11/24

TEXT: Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We are in a series on the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT. Today is the 7th installment of 9. There is a great danger of becoming stagnate and losing our focus on our priority system when we undervalue the growth of spiritual fruit in our daily walk.

Several of the other lesson explain “THE FRUIT” that must increase and thrive. Faith is a simple truth fundamental to the Gospel. We have to have faith to obtain eternal life. We must never learning, growing and preparing ourselves with great effort.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

I HEARD THE STORY OF A MIDWEST FARMING AREA IN A SERIOUS DROUGHT. The community called for a prayer meeting that God’s mercy to bring a good soaking rain. The preachers, the deacons and the people all gathered for prayer for rain. One little lady came prepared, she brought her umbrella. She believed God would hear the prayers.

*FAITH: complete confidence, complete trust, strong belief in God, duty, allegiance, firm belief without total physical proof, to acknowledge the truth of everything of God to receive and rest in God’s plan.

*FAITHFULNESS: being true to your word and commitment, dedicated, steadfast, trustworthy, lasting loyalty, faith is define not by words, but by deeds, the quality of being faithful, fidelity,

THERE IS A BIG QUESTION WE NEED TO ADDRESS. THE ANSWER IS UP TO US? WHEN JESUS RETURNS TO EARTH AGAIN --- WILL HE FIND FAITH?

Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1 (AMP) Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidenc of things not seen {the conviction of their reality --- faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by physical senses].

WHEN WE HAVE DONE WHAT WE KNOW TO DO, READ AND STUDY THE BIBLE, PRAY AND WAIT BY FAITH.

EPHESIANS 6:13 says: --- HAVING DONE ALL STAND.

Habakkuk 2:1 (NASB) I will stand on my guard post And station myself on the rampart; And I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me, And how I may reply when I am reproved.

*WINSTON CHURCHILL said: To each, there comes in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered a chance to do a very special thing… what a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared for that which could have been their finest hour.

LORD INCREASE OUR FAITH? GOD SAYS USE WHAT YOU HAVE…

Luke 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

Faith realizes it is not my power, faith trust God’s abilities. The mustard seed may start small but it grows.

Luke 13:18 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? 19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

ENOUGH! GOD GIVES EVERY PERSON A MEASURE OF FAITH. MY OPINION THE MEASURE THAT GOD GIVES WILL BE IN DIRECT CORRELATION TO WHAT A PERSON WILL FACE IN THEIR LIFE TIME. IF YOU WILL FACE SMALL PROBLEMS YOUR MEASURE GIVEN WILL BE SMALL. If great? Then great faith.

Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

THERE IS A GIFT OF FAITH.

1 Corinthians 12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

FAITH IS NOT AN OPTIONAL PRODUCT… FAITH IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL TO PLEASE GOD…

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

FAITH MAKES YOU ENTIRE, COMPLETE, TOTAL, WHOLE… HEALTHY --- NOT DIVIDED, NOT SCATTERED.

Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
