Faith In Him
Do you need to grow in your Faith?
Do you want to be stronger in Him?
Do you want to be able to handle any situation in your life with confidence?
Do you want to be overflowing with the love that God has for you that you infect others?
Today, we are going to learn from Him about Faith. AMEN? Psalm 91:1-4 says, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
” Do You believe that?
I’m not sure?
I do sometimes?
Sometimes I feel Him in my life, sometimes I don’t.
Do you want to be filled to over flowing?
Do you want to grow in Him and be a menace to the devil?
THE ROAD OF LIFE At first I saw God as my observer, my judge, keeping track of the things I did wrong, so as to know whether I merited heaven or hell when I die; He was out there sort of like a president. I recognized His picture but I didn’t really know Him. But later on when I met Christ, it seemed as though life were rather like a bike ride. but it was a tandem bike, and I noticed that Christ was in the back helping me pedal. I don’t know just when it was that He suggested we change places, but life has not been the same since. When I had control, I knew the way. It was rather boring and predictable...It was the shortest distance between two points. But when He took the lead, He knew delightful long cuts up mountains and through rocky places at break-neck speeds; it was all I could do to hang on!
Even though it looked like madness, He said, "Pedal!" I worried and was anxious and asked, "Where are you taking me?" He laughed and didn’t answer, and I started to learn to trust. I forgot my boring life and entered into the adventure. And when I’d say, "I’m scared!" He’d lean back and touch my hand. He took me to people with gifts that I needed; gifts of healing, acceptance and joy. They gave me gifts to take on my journey, my Lord’s and mine. And we were off again. He said, "Give the gifts away; they’re extra baggage, too much weight." So I did, to the people we met, and I found that in giving, I received, and still our burden was light. I did not trust Him at first, to be in control of my life, I thought He’d wreck it; but Jesus knows bike secrets, knows how to make it bend to make sharp corners, knows how to jump to clear high rocks, knows how to fly to shorten scary passages.
And I am learning to shut up and pedal in the strangest places, and beginning to enjoy the view, and the cool breeze on my face, with my delightful constant companion, Jesus Christ.
And when I’m sure I just can’t do anymore, He just smiles and says..."Pedal". Author Unknown
I am sure that Jesus Christ guides me. Why? Because I trust in Him because He loves me and helps me, and directs me, and hugs me when I need it.
He provides for you even when you forget to ask. Even when you forget to thank Him. When you think that you are doing the right thing and it does not turn out, you learn to trust to trust Him more because you learn that you cannot do it on your own.
You learn that through Him you can grow and become stronger. AMEN!
times we find it hard to let go of trying to control everything and letting God lead the way. We to remember that God’s ways are better, wiser and can take us to heights that we never imagined if only we let God lead the way.
Jesus says in John 6:37 “…Whosoever comes to me I will in no way cast out.” If you’re finding it hard to trust the Lord and let Him have control of your life, I encourage you to seek Him in prayer and try the Lord to see if God will not do what He said He would do. (Isaiah 55:8-9
Psalm 118:8-10 “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes. All nations surrounded me, But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.”
