If there were ever a time in the history of the church where believers needs to start practice what they preach; then that time is now. People are not easily convinced by our words, but they are drawn by our actions. Even Jesus instructed the people by saying, do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. (John 10:37)

Jesus knew that people are not easily persuaded by words. In the same way our faith has no impact unless it is accompanied by actions. So our actions is therefore a results of our faith. When God created man in the garden, the body was dead until God breathe into him.

James2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Our faith is dead without actions. The only reason why someone comes to repentance is when He believes the Word that is ministered to him. When he believed only then he takes the step of faith. There is constantly this fight in his mind to come or not to come. It is proof to us that he has faith when he comes to the alter.

We will therefore not get saved because we came to church, but we will be saved if we applied the principles from Gods word in our lives. In other words, when we can live out what has been preached in. As ministers we have the responsibility to build up the faith of the people through the revelation of Gods word.

We however have a lot of hearers of the word, but only a few doers according to 1 James 1: 21-25.

James1:23 -24

23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

When God tested Abraham to offer his only son Isaac, he had to put his faith in action. He said on the way that if God allows him to kill his child, then God is able to raise the son from the death. Those words from Abraham did not justify him. He was justified when he lifted the knife to slaughter his son.

Then the Angel of the Lord called him to stop and saying... for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. (Gen. 22:11b).

What the Angel was saying is that now that your actions has matched up with your faith, now I know that your trust Me fully. Therefore we can pray and we can profess our faith verbally, but are we ready to put our faith in action? Why are we not searching for the sick and pray for them, if we quote the scriptures... do we really believe? Why do we not do the Word that are taught from the pulpit, instead of shouting about it? There is no greater reward for a teacher then watching his students living in what they were thought.

If we can put our faith in action, God will honor His word. It is time that we start living the Word and not talk the word. People are searching to find Jesus in us. We can only really project His image if we live by faith.

1 John 3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

We can not talk love, but we need to show our love by our actions. In the same manner our faith must therefore be manifested outwardly. We can not bring about change in our community only by what we preach. We need that our lifestyle portrays what we say and believe.

We are waiting for God to be used... God is waiting for us to use what He has placed inside of us.

For if you prophecy, teach, speak words of wisdom or operate in your gifting, you need to put your faith into action. You need to open your mouth and speak what God has placed on your heart.

Rom 12:6 (NASB) Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith

Put your faith to action and become a useful vessel in the Kingdom of God. The church suffer because we have plenty of faith, but we show no action. If all the gifts are operational in the church, God will shake the nations. So my encouragement to you is to stop living by what you see, but step out in faith and do the impossible.

Remember: For faith is dead with out action!!!

Shalom
