Summary: There is always this inquisitiveness even among the Christians to know about ghost and also watch ghost movies. Caveat!

Vampires

Ephesians 6:12”…the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

I am sure this title of mine would be an instant hit because people may want to read it out of: curiosity, fear or nosiness… whatever….they would read. There is always this inquisitiveness even among the Christians to know about ghost and also watch ghost movies. Why would novels like Harry Potter boom with incredible success if there were no takers, sadly children and teens fall prey to this scheme of the devil. Novelist Anne Rice, who died on Saturday at age 80, was best known for her bestselling series The Vampire Chronicles, this was also later produced for television episodes and a star-studded film version of Interview With a Vampire (1994) was produced with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. This woman lived up to 80 years and produced poison and blood curdling stories of demons and became successful; we as Christ’s blood-washed Christians, what are we doing for the Kingdom of God???? Whatever skill you may have, use it for the Kingdom of God. After resigning my job with a multinational bank to join full time work in the Lord’s vineyard, the first thing I did was to write devotions and send it to my friends, today it has turned into a full-fledged internet ministry.

Playing Ouija board games in night parties and playing with evil spirits expose you to the world of demons. Be careful! Stay away, warn your children! There are Christian parents who watch ghost movies along with children for fun and later open gates for the evil spirits to step into their homes, later they call the pastor for prayer. Keep an eye on your children’s smart phones and monitor it vigilantly. Today the father of class 7 student came to me and complained that his son is always on the phone and not studying. They are construction coolie workers who leave their mobile back at home for the children. When you give snake to the children, it will bite!

Today we are bombarded on social media with plethora of talks shows, dance shows, debates, competition and what not. People are glued to their smart phones because they have something to watch any part of the day. Satan has subtly drawn the crowd to his side; on the other side Christian ministry is mushrooming with gospel songs and sermons, efforts have to be made to stay on the right track. Anybody listening? The secular attraction is heavy and huge with scintillating lights, colors and pomp but we need to be full of God to say like David :: Psalm 119:37: “Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, And revive me in Your ways.”
