A. Unbelievers rendered evil for good
"They reward me evil for good
Psalms 38:20 (Amplified Bible)
They also that render evil for good are adversaries to me, because I follow the thing that is good.
Psalms 109:3-5 (Amplified Bible)
They have compassed me about also with words of hatred and have fought against me without a cause.
In return for my love they are my adversaries, but I resort to prayer.
And they have rewarded and laid upon me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
1 Samuel 19:4-5 (Amplified Bible)
And Jonathan spoke well of David to Saul his father and said to him, Let not the king sin against his servant David, for he has not sinned against you, and his deeds have been of good service to you.
For he took his life in his hands and slew the Philistine, and the Lord wrought a great deliverance for all Israel; you saw it and rejoiced. Why then will you sin against innocent blood and kill David without a cause?
In this world, it's an unfair world, a world of despair and evil. Evil things can happen to good people because these unbelievers are the seed of the enemy, the god of this world, that deceives them to pay evil for good. They always do that.
I remember hearing a conversation between a squatter and a land and field grabber, the land grabber/field grabber said "I will give you a strong coffee" but to my amazement instead of the squatters just thanking the land/field grabber, the squatter said "Well I bet it's not real coffee, it's fake"
How sad it is. It's a gift received with evil. How do we usually receive gifts? We just say thank you. But to my amazement and my sadness, that is the very spirit of this world.
Romans 1:21 (Amplified Bible)
Because when they knew and recognized Him as God, they did not honor and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead they became futile and godless in their thinking [with vain imaginings, foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations] and their senseless minds were darkened.
Proverbs 17:13 (Amplified Bible)
Whoever rewards evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.
Jeremiah 18:20 (Amplified Bible)
Shall evil be recompensed for good? Yet they have dug a pit for my life. [Earnestly] remember that I stood before You to speak good for them, to turn away Your anger from them.
That is the very spirit of this world today, instead of receiving the LORD JESUS CHRIST as Gift for the Salvation of all mankind, they will just say "i have my own religion", "well, it's not true he's fake", "well, he never really resurrected after crucifixion, because there's no body on the tomb" The last one was a comment from their highest leader from a well-known, major religion, too sad, of course they can't see the body, because the body is seated on the right hand of GOD. Too much sadness filled my heart because of unbelief from this religious leaders. I was reminded of what Bro Eddie Villanueva, have said, "no religion can save you" Yes it is the same with the bible verses and only salvation can found on no one else but only on JESUS CHRIST.
