INTRODUCTION:

As believers, we are called to a life of supernatural exploits, demonstrating God’s power and glory in our everyday lives. The Bible teaches that those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits (Daniel 11:32). This divine empowerment is not for the faint-hearted but for those who are willing to align themselves with God’s will, seek His face, and operate under the unction of His Holy Spirit. In this sermon, we will explore how believers can be empowered for supernatural exploits, moving beyond the natural into the realm of the impossible.

1. UNDERSTANDING SUPERNATURAL EXPLOITS

a) What are Supernatural Exploits?

Supernatural exploits are acts of divine power and intervention that transcend human limitations. They manifest as miracles, signs, and wonders that cannot be explained by natural means.

b) The Call to Supernatural Living:

Believers are not meant to live ordinary lives but to demonstrate God’s power on earth. This call challenges us to step into a higher dimension of living that reveals His glory.

c) The Difference Between Natural and Supernatural:

Natural exploits are based on human ability, but supernatural exploits require the intervention of God, breaking natural laws for the fulfillment of divine purposes.

d) The Outcome of Supernatural Exploits:

These acts lead to the expansion of God’s kingdom, bring glory to His name, and often result in the salvation of souls.

e) Biblical Example: Moses and the Red Sea (Exodus 14:21-22):

Moses parted the Red Sea by the power of God, saving the Israelites from Pharaoh’s army, showcasing a powerful supernatural exploit.

2. THE SOURCE OF SUPERNATURAL EMPOWERMENT

a) The Holy Spirit as the Empowering Agent:

Acts 1:8 emphasizes the role of the Holy Spirit in empowering believers to witness and do mighty works. Without the Holy Spirit, believers cannot accomplish supernatural exploits.

b) Uniting with God’s Purpose:

Divine empowerment flows when we align ourselves with God’s will. The Holy Spirit works most powerfully when we pursue God’s purposes, not our own.

c) The Power of Faith:

Faith in God is the conduit through which His power operates. The Bible declares that nothing is impossible to those who believe.

d) The Role of Prayer and Worship:

Prayer and worship open the door to God’s power. When we seek His face, we invite His presence, which enables us to perform exploits.

e) Biblical Example: The Early Church (Acts 4:31):

The early church, after prayer, was filled with the Holy Spirit and performed great signs and wonders that expanded the church and advanced the kingdom.

3. THE CONDITIONS FOR SUPERNATURAL EMPOWERMENT

a) A Heart of Obedience:

Obedience to God’s Word and instructions activates His power in our lives. Without obedience, we cannot expect supernatural empowerment.

b) A Life of Prayer and Fasting:

Prayer and fasting align our hearts with God’s will and build spiritual strength for supernatural works.

c) A Willingness to Step Out in Faith:

Supernatural exploits happen when we are willing to step out and act on God’s Word, trusting Him for the impossible.

d) Living a Holy Life:

Consecration and purity attract God’s supernatural power. God works through clean vessels, and holiness is crucial for the release of divine exploits.

e) Biblical Example: Peter Walking on Water (Matthew 14:28-31):

When Peter stepped out of the boat in faith, he experienced the supernatural. The key was his willingness to act on Jesus’ Word, even in the face of uncertainty.

4. CHARACTERISTICS OF SUPERNATURAL EXPLOITS

a) Miraculous Signs and Wonders:

Supernatural exploits are characterized by miracles—things that cannot happen apart from God’s intervention.

b) Advancing the Kingdom of God:

Every supernatural exploit brings glory to God and furthers the work of the kingdom. They are signs pointing others to Christ.

c) Changing Lives and Situations:

Supernatural exploits bring transformation, whether physical healing, deliverance, or even a change in a person’s life direction.

d) Testimonies of God’s Power:

Exploits lead to testimonies that testify to God’s power, encouraging others to trust in His supernatural abilities.

e) Biblical Example: The Healing of the Lame Man (Acts 3:1-10).

Peter and John healed a lame man at the gate of the temple, and this miracle not only changed the man’s life but also attracted the attention of the people, leading to many coming to faith.

5. WALKING IN THE POWER OF SUPERNATURAL EXPLOITS

a) Live in Expectation:

Expecting God to move supernaturally is key. When we expect divine intervention, we position ourselves to see miracles manifest.

b) Live a Life of Consecration:

Consecration, or setting yourself apart for God’s use, is vital for the flow of supernatural power. When we dedicate ourselves to God, we are channels for His power.

c) Partner with God’s Will:

Walking in the supernatural requires cooperation with God’s plan. Seek to know what He is doing and align yourself with that.
