Summary: FREEDOM FROM BONDAGE

DON’T GO TOO FAR!

INTRODUCTION: THIS STUDY SPEAKS TO COMPLETE FREEDOM IN A BELIEVER’S LIFE. MOSES APPEALS TO THE PHARAOH OF EGYPT TO LET HIS PEOPLE GO INTO THE WILDERNESS AND OFFER A SACRIFICE UNTO THE LORD. THE PHARAOH CONCEDES WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THEY WILL NOT GO TOO FAR.

SPIRITUAL INSIGHT: EXODUS 8: 28 (NKJV) SO PHARAOH SAID, I WILL LET YOU GO, THAT YOU MAY SACRIFICE TO THE LORD YOUR GOD IN THE WILDERNESS; ONLY YOU SHALL NOT GO VERY FAR AWAY. INTERCEDE FOR ME

A CLASH OF CULTURE BECOMES APPARENT. EGYPTIAN CULTURE OPPOSED EXCESSIVE BLOOD LETTING IN THEIR SACRIFICES. THEY CONSIDERED SHEEP A FILTHY ANIMAL TO SACRIFICE. ISRAEL INCLUDED SHEEP AMONG OTHER BIRDS AND ANIMALS ADMISSIBLE. PROFUSE BLOOD LETTER WAS ACCEPTABLE. EXODUS 8:26 (THE BOOK-PARAPHRASE) BUT MOSES REPLIED, THAT WILL NOT DO. THE EGYPTIANS WILL DETEST THE SACRIFICES THAT WE OFFER TO THE LORD OUR GOD. IF WE OFFER THEM THERE WHERE THEY CAN SEE US, THEY WILL BE SURE TO STONE US.

A BELIEVER’S CARNAL MIND THINKS SOMEWHAT LIKE PHARAOH (DON’T GO TOO FAR).

ROMANS 8:7 (NKJV) BECAUSE THE CARNAL MIND (IS) ENMITY AGAINST GOD; FOR IT IS NOT SUBJECT TO THE LAW OF GOD, NOR INDEED CAN BE.

ROMANS 12:2 (NASB) AND DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, THAT YOU MAY PROVE WHAT IS THAT GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE AND PERFECT WILL OF GOD.

APPLICATION: THE WORLD MOLDS THE CARNAL, CHRISTIAN’S MIND. IT MUST BE MOLDED BY THE W-0-R-D. NO HOOF MUST BE LEFT BEHIND IN EGYPT (EXODUS 10:26).

I believe the garden where the first man and woman began is and always will be the beginning.Adam and Eve went too far and was cast out there from for their disobedience.Since that time God has forgiven mankind in sending to him a Redeemer,His only begotten Son Jesus.Yet there are many who will not acknowledge the truth and continue to live their lives as if they have no Savior, and not fearing God.
