Summary: Don't Be Ashamed

Psalm 31:1-24 Don't Be Ashamed

I. To Praise Him - He Is

My Reliable God - 1 In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust;

My Rescuing God - 1 let me never be ashamed:

My Righteous God - 1 deliver me in thy righteousness.

My Receptive God 2 Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily

My Resourceful God - 2 be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.

Trust in the Lord to GUARD you -

2 be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me. 3 For thou art my rock and my fortress

Trust in the Lord to GUIDE you

3 therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.

Trust in the Lord to GIRD you -

4 Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.

II. To Profess Him - He Is

My Rescuer - 4 Pull me out of the net

My Restorer - 4 for thou art my strength.

My Ruler - 5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit:

My Redeemer - 5 thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.

III. To Petition Him -

7 I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble;

thou hast known my soul in adversities He Has -

Secured My Forgiveness - 7 I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy

Seen My Fears - 7 for thou hast considered my trouble;

Sensed My Frustrations - 7 thou hast known my soul in adversities;

Sealed My Freedom - 8 and hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy:

thou hast set my feet in a large room.

IV. To Proclaim Him -

23 O love the Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer

For His Favour - 23 O love the Lord, all ye his saints:

For His Faithfulness - for the Lord preserveth the faithful,

For His Fairness - and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer

For His Fullness - 24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.
