“5 way’s to Do the Father’s Will” Text: John 6: 28-38

28 Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” 29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” 30 Therefore they said to Him, “What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do? 31 Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”32 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” 34 Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.” 35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. 36 But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. 37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

Introduction: It’s proven that the majority of people who attend church come just for themselves, or for their children and grandchildren to interact. Historically people don’t come to church to watch others, or to be a blessing and to help others grow in their walk with Christ! Most people come to church full of their own motives. We need to always remember that on our worst day physically, emotionally and Spiritually Jesus Christ died on a cross for troubled people (Like us.) Jesus always did the will of His Father; He never allowed His personal agenda to out weigh the Father’s will! Everywhere He traveled His will was larger than Him.

I. So what does that mean for me? Jesus Christ wants the Father’s will to be accomplished in you, and His will for your life is bigger than you! 1. It’s His will for you to help others. 2. It’s His will, for you to teach others. 3. It’s His will for you to praise and worship in front of others, so they will have an example to follow. 4. It’s His will for you to prosper. 5. It’s His will for you to have fruit. 6. It’s His will for you to walk in His giftings.7. It’s His will for you to be dynamic in everyway!

A. Why? Because it proves that Jesus Christ is the only answer; It’s prove that He’s the living bread!

B. I’ve got 5 words for you today: 1. Believe. Your actions become the testimony of your personal faith!

C. Listen to Matthew 23: 24 Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel! [Strain at the truth, and swallow lies]! What’s the remedy? Your belief in Christ!

D. #2. Stop settling for the inferior bread when Christ is the living bread! John 6: 56-57 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.

E. #3. Jesus said, those who come to Me should never hunger, and those who believe shall not thirst! So, why are we hungry and thirsty? We’re not coming and not believing!

F. #4. Vs. 37 Jesus said, “Come to Me and I won’t reject you!” Jesus won’t give you stall, or moldy bread! He won’t give you His leftover time or attention.

G. #5. Do His will! There’s no greater joy than to do the will of the Father! [You will do His will best, when you do for others]!

H. I was upstairs in my 10 year old ‘Daniels’ room as he was praying he looked up at me and said the Holy Spirit was telling him “for us to be aware of Him!”
