Isaiah 53:1-6 NLT: Do You Want to be Made Well
1 Who has believed our message? To whom has the Lord revealed his powerful arm? 2 My servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him. 3 He was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. 4 Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,a punishment for his own sins! 5 But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. 6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.
The question ask is, “Who has believed this report or message?” How we respond to Christ today brings our needs tomorrow. The question implied that, in spite of these and other prophecies, only a few recognized the Servant when He appeared. No one recognized the Mighty, incarnate power of God in the person of Jesus. (God came to relate, He came as a child; grew up as a humble servant.) The key word is ‘God.’
Today, many children of God are refusing their purchased portion of Grace, health, success and favor through Jesus Christ, they throw it all away by ignoring their blood inheritance.
Galatians 3:13NLT But Christ has rescued(redeemed) us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”
The greek word translated ‘redeemed’ was often used to speak of buying a slave’s or debtor’s freedom; therefore, the word rescued is properly used here.
Daily, lambs were killed for a sacrifice; however, Christ came to become the final sacrifice.
Right now, there is bread. Today, there is life. Presently, there is health.
God desires for us to take His word, claim His word, and believe His word. Jesus said in John 6:63, that His word is Spirit and life.
The word of God; the word of the Spirit is the breath of heaven. (Right now, many of you, need a word from heaven.)
God desires to give every person new life within. The life of Jesus Christ living through every person here today, can so purify hearts and minds, and in return, every person can become entirely transformed- spirit, soul and body.
John 1:1-4,14NLT In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He existed in the beginning with God. 3 God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. 4 The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.14. So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
*The word related, the word served, the word loved, the word suffered, the word was put to death; however, the word was resurrected.
Presently, the word lives, the word intercedes; moreover, the word is coming back again!
Isaiah 53:5-6NLT But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. 6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.
Hear again, Pierced for our rebellion. Crushed for our sins. Beaten so we could be whole. Whipped so we could be healed. Verse 6, We all left God’s path, yet the Lord laid on Him the sins of us all. (How do you treat the word?)
Matthew 8:17NLT He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.” (Christ bore the guilt and the curse of sin.)
Am I important to Jesus? Listen to Mark 7:24-30NLT Then Jesus left Galilee and went north to the region of Tyre. He didn’t want anyone to know which house he was staying in, but he couldn’t keep it a secret. 25 Right away a woman who had heard about him came and fell at his feet. Her little girl was possessed by an evil spirit, 26 and she begged him to cast out the demon from her daughter. Since she was a Gentile, born in Syrian Phoenicia, 27 Jesus told her, “First I should feed the children—my own family, the Jews. It isn’t right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs.” 28 She replied, “That’s true, Lord, but even the dogs under the table are allowed to eat the scraps from the children’s plates.”29 “Good answer!” he said. “Now go home, for the demon has left your daughter.” 30 And when she arrived home, she found her little girl lying quietly in bed, and the demon was gone.
