Summary: Do we love the Lord or do we just pretend
Preacher in a store say a child asking his mother for a box of tic tacks, he keep saying, “I want a tic tack, I want a tic tack, Mommy, I want a tic tack!” Finally in frustration the mom gets bin-i a box of tic tacks, the preacher said, “If she didn’t I was going to!” He wore her down, it is the same way with us, the devil can wear us down and we just give in!

Do Love The Lord?
Deut 6:4—9-”And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
Verse 6-And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart We are to know the word of God, it shouldn’t just a in a book that sit in our house, it should be in our hearts!
Verse 7-You shall teach them diligently to your children, Teach others, It is ow responsibility to train up a child the way they should go, now the
church can help with that, it can assist you with that, but it’s ultimately up to you to do it!
Verse 7-and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, Here is the ways you are to do it... .Discuss the things of God
Verse 7-when you walk by the way
Talk of the things of God in public.. ..If your children don’t hear you talking about the Lord in public, if they only hear you talk about the Lord on Sunday, they are going to believe that He doesn’t mean that much to you!
Verse 7-when you lie down, and when you rise up
Morning and evening prayers and petitions, it won’t hurt for your kids to either see you praying or hear you praying!
Verse 8-You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, A reminder to exhibit godliness in your actions, a another way to say it.. .when I give my word and shake on it, it better mean something!
Verse 8-and they shall he as frontlets between your eyes.
A reminder to think Christ like
Verse 9-You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. A reminder to keep the abominable thing out & godliness in our homes
It should be a remind or a witness to those who visit the home.. .A hardhearted Census taker!
It should also be a reminder to us that it is a Christian home! (Do you know Jesus? Yes, I just need to act like I do!)
God’s word should govern our homes!
I wonder if every time they celebrated Passover, did they think about those words that were engraved in the doorpost (The Law) and remembering the blood that was put on the doorpost (Grace, Mercy). . . .The blood covered the law!
John l4:15-”If you love Me, keep My commandments.
1 John 5:1-3-Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him.
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
You tell anybody who will listen about a restaurant that you love, but you won’t tell someone about Jesus, who you confess to love!
You’ll cry at a holiday commercial but you won’t shed a tear about someone who is lost!
