Summary: When you are in the pulpit, you need only please Him. if your are seeking to please the crowd or culture you are not a man God called, but one He will stand against.

Jeremiah 1:17 Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.

18 For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.

19 And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.

Woe unto those who preach to the crowds instead of what God has commanded. He will confound you before your foes as well as your followers. We are not called to preach smooth things or convenient messages that make folks feel so good and keep us in the pulpit with a nice salary and parsonage. We need to preach the truth without adulteration by cultural or societal desires.

When you are called and given a message to give you are unbeatable. The whole land may come against you, but if you are in His will and doing what He called and saying what He said then you are walled in and they will fail who come against you.

Preach the truth, the whole truth, in love and as He has said it and the fight will be on as haters are gonna hate, but in the end they will perish in their hate and you will be victorious because they are fighting against God, not you. Their battle is with Him and He never loses because their "arms are too short to box with God." Maranatha!!
