Do We Want To Tell Others What Is Wrong?

DO WE WANT TO TELL OTHERS WHAT IS WRONG?

INTRODUCTION:

I line several chairs one behind the other. I have enlisted a man to be the engineer, and a

conductor to take our tickets and control the others riding the train. The conductor says:

ALL ABOARD WE ARE DEPARTING THE STATION. I am a passenger. I scream we will

never make it, the engine can not pull this weight. It starts jerking. I scream we are all

going to die? The conductor tries to calm me. We go through a dark tunnel, (have them

turn off the lights.) I scream: WE BETTER JUMP OUT THE WINDOW?

I see a river ahead, we are going to crash. The conductor tells me: There is a bridge.

He tries to assure me, we do this every day. The tracks are sure.

I start scream once we are going real fast. They will never stop this thing.

THE LESSON IS TRUST THE ENGINEER, TRUST THE TRAIN...

WE HAVE BEEN HERE BEFORE.

I. TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG?

HERE IS PAPER WRITE DOWN 5 THINGS THAT ARE WRONG IN YOUR FAMILY?

Matthew 7:3 (KJV) And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest

not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out

the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly

to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

A. YOU HAVE CERTAIN TENDANCIES AND PATTERNS IN YOUR DAILY LIFE.

1. You tend to see others faults more than your own?

2. You will remember and point out others mistakes more often than owning yours?

3. This tendency hinders real growth...

4. You can not fix or change other people's problems...

5. Why not OWN and confront YOUR PEPRSONAL PROBLEMS?

Matthew 7:3 NIV "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no

attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the

speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first

take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from

your brother's eye.

B. TAKE A HINT?

WHO MADE YOU JUDGE? POLICEMAN? JURY?

1. Jesus gives WHITE ROBES?

2. Judges wear BLACK ROBES?

Matthew 7:3 (NLT) “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in

your own? 4 How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck

in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye?

5 Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with

the speck in your friend’s eye.

Matthew 7:3 (MSG) It's easy to see a smudge on your neighbor's face and be oblivious to the

ugly sneer on your own. 4 Do you have the nerve to say, 'Let me wash your you,' when

your own face is distorted by contempt? 5 It's this whole traveling road-show mentality all over

again,playing a holier-than-thou part instead of just living your part. Wipe that ugly sneer off

your own face, and you might be fit to offer a washcloth to your neighbor.

II. THERE IS POWER IN REPETITION!

TELL IT TWICE IF YOU WANT TO BE HEARD?

NOW TELL ME FIVE THINGS THAT ARE WRONG WITH YOU?

Luke 6:41 (KJV) And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest

not the beam that is in thine own eye? 42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let

me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in

thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou

see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

A. Is it easier to tell what is wrong with others than to tell what is wrong with you?
