DON’T JUDGE OTHERS BECAUSE THEY SIN DIFFERENTLY THAN YOU DO
Matthew 7:1-5 6-28-15 many am dlowe (This sermon has quotes and
thoughts from many sources that I acknowledge as not my own original thoughts)
The Supreme Court has given THEIR definition of marriage.
Everyone has an opinion.
An opinion does not necessarily make a statement or definition
true.
You can’t legislate morality, BUT you can legislate immorality.
Legal in the eyes/mind of man does not equate legal/righteous
in the eyes of God
This has been a monumental week as far as our country is
concerned.
We have turned yet another corner in our rebellion against God.
We started in the 1960’s when:
Theologians said, God is Dead.
The Supreme Court said: Abortion is a right, not a sin/murder.
This week our Supreme Court felt they had the right to legalize
Homosexual Marriage.
God’s Holy Word says differently on all these counts.
Abomination to God
Sodom and Gomorrah
Daniel 9:9-11 To the Lord our God belong mercies and
forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him; 10 Neither
have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his
laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing,
that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured
upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the
servant of God, because we have sinned against him.
Marriage is between One man, One Woman
Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his
mother, & shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Social Media, news channels, individuals have had many
comments, posts, quotes, arguments, this week concerning the
Supreme Courts Decision on Marriage.
I would like to consider and respond to some of these by looking
at God’s Word and what He has to say.
It really doesn’t matter what you, the Supreme Court, I, or anyone
else has to say about anything.
God HAD the first Word, “In the beginning God” Genesis 1:1
God WILL have the last Word, “Surely I Come Quickly” Rev 2:20

More Important Question, Is God in YOUR house?
IS it time to put God back into YOUR house?
Joshua 24:15-16 15And if it seem evil unto you to serve the
LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the
gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the
flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as
for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
16 And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should
forsake the LORD, to serve other gods;
Marriage was defined by God. No man can redefine it.
We will defend our religious liberties. (Franklin Graham)
I agree that marriage is defined by God and I believe we should
defend our religious liberties.
HOWEVER a bigger and more important question is
Will You Live Your Religious Liberties?
Are you living in sin in some other area that only you and
God know about?
Are you Judging Others Because They Sin Differently
Than You Do?
Does pointing out and dwelling on the sins of others make
you feel more secure and justified in your sin?
2 Chronicles “14 If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn
from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will
forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
I wonder what is worse in God’s sight?
SINNERS doing what sinners are suppose to do, SIN
OR Christians doing what they are not suppose to do, SIN?
Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die
Matthew 7:1-5 Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what
judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure
ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest
thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the
beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy
brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a
beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the
beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to
cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up
himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you,
let him first cast a stone at her
Micah 6:8 He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what
