DIVINE RELEASE
Text::Mk.11:2-3, Isa.49:25
Introduction
An Illustration: Around 8pm in the evening, a Sister was driving home after a Bible study. She got to a check point where police were checking, and was waved to stop. The officer came to her and asked her to come down and open the boot of her car. As she was about to come down, the officer touched her, and that was the last she could remembered as she found herself in a far away bush in Ekiti Sate.
In the bush were other people that must have been kidnapped the same way or in a manner similar to the way she was transported to this location. There, they were made to line up, and was passed through some rituals and so called cleansing before presentation to the priest for sacrifice. During this time she had realised that she was kidnapped, and all she could do was to pray silently in tongues. There were at least some other brethren in the crowd who also were praying in tongues. When it came to her turn for presentation, the priest was taken aback and asked; “where did you get this type of meat?” she was asked to step aside for awhile.
In her presence, many of the other captured people were brutally slaughtered and their blood and other body parts extracted into a bowl probably for further usage in their wicked and demonic rituals. After 2 days the priest asked his people to return 4 of the brethren to where they took them. They were led into a long journey into the bush for days, before they were left by their captors to find their way to the main road. It was at the main road that they discovered that they were in Ekiti State. This was almost 2 weeks after they had been kidnapped. This is a divine release orchestrated from above as no man could have accomplished such a deliverance from the jugular of the devil incarnate priest in the thick forest who is perpetrating evil in the name of wealth.
Brethren, this is definitely your season of divine release. The Lord is granting total freedom from every entanglement created or planned for you by the devil as you listen to this message in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
WHAT IS DIVINE RELEASE?
Let’s first of all examine the word “Release”. According to dictionary.com, Release means:
a) To free from confinement, bondage, obligation, pain, etc.; let go: to release a prisoner; to release someone from a debt.
b) To free from anything that restrains, fastens, etc.: to release a catapult.
c) To allow to be known, issued, done, or exhibited: to release an article for publication.
d) In Law, it is to give up, relinquish, or surrender (a right, claim, etc.).
e) Some Synonyms are: ‘loose, deliver, free, dismiss, discharge, liberate, emancipate’ may all mean to set at liberty, let loose, or let go.
When God releases a man, it is like granting amnesty to the individual. What is Amnesty? From online world dictionary, Amnesty means:
a) A general pardon for offenses, especially political offenses, against a government, often granted before any trial or conviction.
b) In Law, it is an act of forgiveness for past offenses, especially to a class of persons as a whole.
c) A forgetting or overlooking of any past offense.
WHAT DIVINE RELEASE ENTAILS
Now, we will examine what constitute divine release based on the experiences of patriarchs in the scriptures:
a. Release from problems, imprisonment, sufferings and the like.
In the book of Jeremiah 52: 31-34, king Jehoaichim was released from prison by king Nebuchadnezzar and was set on high. Also Joseph and Peter in Acts 12. Furthermore, in the book of Exodus, the Lord decided to grant a divine amnesty to the children of Israel.
b. Release of provision –
In the book of Exodus, God sent manna and meat to the children of Israel in the wilderness for almost 40 years of their sojourn.
c. Release of Help:
King Uzziah in II Chron.32:1-16 received marvelous help from God, and he prospered and did great things.
d. Release of power:
In the book of Acts, power was released upon the 120 disciples and the Apostles; and they performed great signs and wonders for all to see. For example, when Peter and John went for prayers, the power of God came upon the man at the beautiful gate, and he received his healings and walked in to the temple to join others for prayers.
e. Release of Blessings:
Solomon was a man that God released His blessings upon in great measure. He was the richest man in his days, he had peace and security in his domain, people gave many precious gifts to him because God has open and effectual door unto him. What did he do to make heaven to release such a huge blessing upon an individual? He was a worshipper and a true giver. If you will worship God in truth and in spirit, and decide to offer your first and your best to God Him, He will surely release great quantum of heavenly blessing upon you. Pray like this: Father, I receive the spirit of worship and the grace of giving in the name of Jesus.
