Summary: Many times leaders fail in developing effective ministry in the local church because they rely upon others to get the work done. Pastors are required to equip the saints for the work of the ministry. There are four things that the leader must do in order
INTRODUCTION: in order to DEVELOPE EFFECTIVE MINISTRY there are four things you the leader must do.
1. YOUR PRESENCE MUST BE THERE. (Acts 20:18) Paul says to the Elders he has summoned to his conference, "I WAS WITH YOU". As leader, Bro pastor, you must be there. You can't be the leader and everyone is there except you.
2. YOUR PARTICIPATION MUST BE THERE. (Acts 20:19) Paul says, "I participated and serve the Lord with humility".
3. YOUR PURPOSE MUST BE CARRIED OUT. (Acts 20:20-21) Paul states. " I have preached and I have compelled." A leader must carry out his God given purpose to the max...
4. YOU MUST PROCEED IN SPITE OF OPPOSITION. (Acts 20:22-24) Paul says, " the Spirit has propelled me to go on.........". In spite of what is before me, hardship, prison, etc.... I must go. Leaders we must go on in spite of what others are saying. Paul says I consider myself worth nothing. Effective ministry is all i can see, sharing the good news of our Lord and Savior. I must preach the gospel.
