Isaiah 61:1-4 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.

He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies.

To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.

They will rebuild the ancient ruins, repairing cities destroyed long ago. They will revive them, though they have been deserted for many generations.

Luke 4:17-20 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where this was written:

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,

and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.”

He rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant, and sat down. All eyes in the synagogue looked at him intently.

Isaiah 61:1-2 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.

He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies.

B. Declared with Power to be the Son of GOD

"was declared with power to be the Son of God"

Matthew 2:15 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

and they stayed there until Herod’s death. This fulfilled what the Lord had spoken through the prophet: “I called my Son out of Egypt.”

Matthew 13:17 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but they didn’t see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn’t hear it.

1 John 4:15-17 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

All who confess that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.

We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.

And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.

1. The word "declared" came from the Greek word: "horizo" meaning to "to mark out", "to bound", "to appoint, decree, specify", "to declare, determine, limit, ordain" where the word "horizon" was taken from.

From eternity past, GOD was already there, even beginnings found their beginnings from GOD ALMIGHTY for He is ALPHA and OMEGA but GOD determined, declared, appointed a set time where GOD THE SON will be revealed and PRAISE GOD because He was revealed during our times, new dispensation, dispensation of GRACE, the NEW TESTAMENT.

C. By His Resurrection

"by His resurrection from the dead: JESUS CHRIST our Lord"
