Ps 34 v. 1 - 10 I. DAVID'S PRAISE v.1-3 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

His Praise was Personnal, Profitable, & Perpetual at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul shall make her boast in the LORD:

The Source Of Praise, My soul

The Strength Of Praise, shall make her boast

The Song Of Praise, in the LORD

The Success Of Praise the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

The Humble Shall Receive It The Humble Shall Review It The Humble Shall Rejoice In It - 34:2 and be glad.

The Humble Shall Retell It O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

II. DAVID'S PURSUIT v.4-6 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. 1. HIS APPEAL v.4 "I sought the LORD" David was a man A. Who Sought God Early Psa.71:5 For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: [thou art] my trust from my youth. B. Earnestly Psa.63:1 O God, thou [art] my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; C. Eagerly Psa.27:8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee Thy face LORD, will I seek. D. Expectantly Psa.9:10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee 2. HIS ASSURANCE v.4 and he heard me 5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. 3. HIS ASSISTANCE v.6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. [a] The LORD Heard [b] The LORD Helped and saved him (c) The LORD Healed out of all his troubles.

III. DAVID'S PROTECTION v.7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. 1. THE CONFLICTS OF THE WAY A. Conflicts Within v.4 "fears" B. Conflicts Without v.6 "troubles" 2. THE COMPANION FOR THE WAY "Angel of the LORD" * He is the ever present Defender and Deliverer of God's children. [Delivering Israel From Pharaoh] Ex.14:19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: [Delivering Elijah From Jezebel] I Ki.19:7 And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. 8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God. (Delivering Jerusalem From Sennacharib] Isa.37:36 Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they [were] all dead corpses. A. He Is Conscious Of Our Circumstances B. He Is Capable To Deal With Our Circumstances C. He Is A Comforter In Our Circumstances 3. THE CAUTION IN THE WAY "them that FEAR Him" 4. THE CONSOLATION BY THE WAY and delivereth them. Ps 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

IV. DAVID'S PROVISION v.8-10 1. HIS EXHORTATION v.8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. 2. HIS EXPERIENCE v.9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. 3. HIS EXPECTATION v.10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: A. Young Lion Speaks Of Strength Of Speed Of Stamina 4. HIS EXPRESSION but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing. Ps 23 v 1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
