Dad is with you!

Joshua 1:9”Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

Friend, listen, there is nothing hidden from the Lord! He knows your angst, fear and worry! We can see the ‘Father heart’ of God as He encourages Joshua in his new colossal assignment! Are you facing a big project, a big problem, a big issue, a big financial mess, a big storm or a big giant that is menacingly approaching you? Fear not! Our God’s power is vast and immeasurable! He would take care of you! Time to do a victory dance!

Look at the assignment given to Joshua; he had to take around 6 lakh people across the turbulent Jordan river and go through the massive Jericho wall –nothing can be as threatening and intimidating as this! Imagine the mind frame of Joshua as a leader caught up with stiff necked, rebellious and disobedient people! I shudder to think of it! It is exactly for this reason God kept Joshua closely monitoring Moses so that he gets equipped for the position at a later date. Some wonder why they are not blessed as yet, why their prayers are not answered yet, why the increment is not released yet, why has the promotion been delayed, why has the marriage been postposed and many such questions! God is preparing you ahead for the blessings! God is never in haste!

Friend, when you face an opposition/problem/crisis – how you tackle it, is most important! Joshua secretly picks up two faithful servants who were willing to enter the hazardous city to get a report for Joshua. Remember, God does not send you alone for the mission, Joshua was blessed with lovely, loyal servants who were matured enough to discreetly handle the tough, dangerous mission. God never left Joshua! When you trust Him, I repeat trust Him wholeheartedly, He would keep talking, talking, talking, talking and talking until you get the message. Ah!

You know what, we are facing certain serious problems in our church with opposition all around, we are now on 21 days fast along with the church praying for the coming year as well as God’s will for all matters. Every day as I preach or hear a song or sermon – I can hear the crystal clear voice of God tell me – be strong, courageous, be not afraid or dismayed! Hallelujah! What more does one want than this??

The enemy is out to discourage you, frighten you and to scare you! Do not allow fear to sabotage the plan of God in your life! Are you listening? May be you wonder: can I finish this professional course? Can I handle this job? Come on, your Dad is with you to help you out! He has been my Friend, my guide, my counselor, my comforter, my peace and my happiness – above all these, He is my adorable Dad! I don’t think we should fear!
