Summary: The person who really wants to do something finds a way, all others an excuse. Not so with the the encounter of Jesus with the sad soul who lived in the tombs. Let’s examine it together!
INTRODUCTION
Mark 5 has been appropriately called the Bible home for the incurables. Three cases, absolutely, humanly speaking, incurable. The demonic man, The diseased woman and The dead girl.
All three have been seen as hopeless. If they lived in our world today, one would be sent to a mental instituion, the other to a terminal care unit and the last to the cemetary.
Jesus is all sufficient in our insufficencies. He can be our psychiatrist, our physician even a pediatrician.
Let’s examine the story together!
Main Division
I. A Miserable Soul, The Maniac (1-4)
II. A Mighty Savior, The Master (5-13)
III. A Miraculous Salvation, A Miracle (14-20)
Conclusion: Jesus is all one needs!
