VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. It had the golden altar of incense or the censer

"It had the golden altar of incense and the ark (chest) of the covenant, covered over with wrought gold."

Leviticus 16:12 (Amplified Bible)

16:12 He shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the [bronze] altar before the Lord, and his two hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil [into the Holy of Holies],

1 Kings 7:50 (Amplified Bible)

7:50 The cups, snuffers, basins, spoons, firepans—of pure gold; and the hinges of gold for the doors of the innermost room, the Holy of Holies, and for the doors of the Holy Place.

Revelation 8:3 (Amplified Bible)

8:3 And another angel came and stood over the altar. He had a golden censer, and he was given very much incense (fragrant spices and gums which exhale perfume when burned), that he might mingle it with the prayers of all the people of God (the saints) upon the golden altar before the throne.

In Heaven, it's still happening and performed by ministering angels, that the LORD is smelling the sweet incense combined with our prayers, everytime we pray to GOD, we pleased Him and it's like GOD is smelling perfume.

Proverbs 27:9 (Amplified Bible)

27:9 Oil and perfume rejoice the heart; so does the sweetness of a friend’s counsel that comes from the heart.

B. It had the golden ark of the covenant containing the following:

"This [ark] contained a golden jar which held the manna and the rod of Aaron that sprouted and the [two stone] slabs of the covenant [bearing the Ten Commandments]."

Exodus 25:10-16 (Amplified Bible)

25:10 They shall make an ark of acacia wood: two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.

25:11 You shall overlay the ark with pure gold, inside and out, and make a gold crown, a rim or border, around its top.

25:12 You shall cast four gold rings and attach them to the four lower corners of it, two rings on either side.

25:13 You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold,

25:14 And put the poles through the rings on the ark’s sides, by which to carry it.

25:15 The poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be removed from it [that the ark be not touched].

25:16 And you shall put inside the ark the Testimony [the Ten Commandments] which I will give you.

Exodus 26:33 (Amplified Bible)

26:33 And you shall hang the veil from the clasps and bring the ark of the Testimony into place within the veil; and the veil shall separate for you the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.

Exodus 37:1-5 (Amplified Bible)

37:1 BEZALEL MADE the ark of acacia wood—two cubits and a half was the length of it, a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it.

37:2 He overlaid it with pure gold within and without and made a molding or crown of gold to go around the top of it.

37:3 He cast four rings of gold for its four corners, two rings on either side.

37:4 He made poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.

37:5 He put the poles through the rings at the sides of the ark to carry it.

Exodus 39:35 (Amplified Bible)

39:35 The ark of the Testimony, its poles, and the mercy seat;

Gold represents divinity or deity in the Old Testament, so people are worshipping the gold instead of the Giver of it: GOD, but in this case, gold "only" represents deity of GOD, not GOD Himself, nor it's intended for someone to worship gold. That's why when they're performing worship in the Tabernacle, all they do are divine efforts not human efforts which pleased GOD for a while until the New Covenant arised.
