ANOTHER CHANCE? TRY AGAIN? GIVE HOPE? Are we chopped down?

Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

OFTEN WHAT WE SEE IN LIFE HAS A MIRROR EFFECT… WE MUST ALIGN OUR THINKING PATTERNS WITH TRUST THE WORD OF GOD… CHANGE YOUR FOCUS? CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE AND CHANGE THE WORLD…

Romans 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

COLLAPSE LIKE A HOUSE OF CARDS? FEAR SAYS: WHAT IF… WHAT CAN GO WRONG NOW? DREAD IS A FAITH KILLER. HOPE IS A CANDLE THAT LET’S US SEE ENOUGH TO RECOGNIZE THERE IS A PATHWAY TO ESCAPE… ARE WE BUILDING ON DESPAIR AND WHAT IF? WHAT IF WE BUILD OUR HOUSE ON HOPE…

Hopelessness is CONTAGIOUS… Hope can get you through if you can stand the pull? Are we building a house of cards?

Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

HOPE IS THE LIGHT IN A DARK TUNNEL… IT IS SAID THE LEADING CAUSE OF SUICIDE AND DIVORCE IS HOPELESSNESS.

Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

In life we must learn to expect adversities, problems, trials and obstacles. SURE, LIFE IS NOT FAIR. I LEARNED THAT BEFORE KINDERGARTEN. Hand-me-down clothes?

We can smell the bad breath of the giant of fear. Fear breeds fear. I heard a wise man say: WE HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR BUT FEAR IT SELF. We are facing fear that causes withdrawal symptoms. Isolation will lead to distortion of emotions. Fear keeps one in bed. Fear pulls the curtains and sits in a dark room thinking of THE NEGATIVE POSSIBILITIES. Fear says we are TRAPPED and there ARE NO SOLUTIONS. Why can’t we see we set our moods and attitudes by the PERSPECTIVE OF OUR OUTLOOK?

We had a preacher friend named James Ellis. He often said: THOSE THAT SAY IT CAN NOT BE DONE ARE BEING PASSED BY THOSE THAT ARE DOING IT…

HOW MUCH IS HOPE WORTH?

Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Hope gives us a reason to smile and get out of bed. Hope has physical benefits. Did you know HOPE can help your IMMUNE SYSTEM to fight off sicknesses? Watch negative, hopeless people they are often sicker than those filled with hope.

WHAT IS HOPE?

To wish, a feeling of expectation for a certain thing to happen, to anticipate,

Hope is to look for the bright side. Hope realizes this problem is a great opportunity.

THERE IS WORLDLY HOPE, THIS LESSON IS NOT ABOUT THAT. THIS LESSON IS ABOUT SPIRITUAL HOPE… Spiritual hope involves God and is often found in the word of God and in prayer.

BIBLICAL HOPE, SPIRITUAL HOPE KNOWS CHANGE IS NECESSARY AND WE DESIRE BETTER… TO GAIN BETTER WE MUST CHANGE. CHANGE IS NEEDED TO GROW TO BE BETTER.

1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Hope is a feeling of complete trust.

Hope is like that thing on top of a PRESSURE COOKER… I call it a jangler or jiggler… (a weighed pressure regulator) that slowly releases the buildup of pressure. Hope reduces the feelings of help. Hope reaches to reduce stress and help our attitudes to reach for joy and happiness.

WHY DO WE NEED HOPE?
