Cleaning Up

There is a conflict in the heavenlies for your life. God is fighting for you because He wants to restore that which was lost to Satan. You are valuable in His sight and considers you worth fighting for.

Matthew 23:25-26 - Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

James 3:11 - Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?

Our lives cannot be contaminated with garbage and Spirit-filled at the same time. Every believer is to pursue holiness and clean up.

1. Confess

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

2. Study God’s Word

Ephesian 5:26-27 - that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

Joshua 1:8 - This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

- Know God’s Word

- Read God’s Word

- Love God’s Word

- Meditate on God’s Word

- Believe God’s Word

- Do God’s Word

- Use God’s Word

3. Resist

James 4:7 - Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

4. Take the first step

James 4:8 - Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

5. Obedience

1 Samuel 15:22 - Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice….

6. Prayer

James 5:16 - The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Pray for:

- Your country

- Your city

- Your church

- Yourself

- Your spouse

- Your children

- Your family

7. Separate yourself

2 Corinthians 6:17 - Therefore "Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean and I will receive you."

8. Be mentored

Ephesians 4:11-13 - And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

Give your life to Jesus

Romans 10:9 - That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
