CAN GOD TRUST YOU
2 Corinthians 1:8
For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren of our trouble which came to us in Asia; that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even life.
CAN GOD TRUST YOU?
To be able to trust the ones we love is important to almost all people.
When my children where small I would take them to the swimming pool. They did not know now to swim. I would tell them to jump in and Daddy will catch you. They would say things like, “are you sure” and I would answer of course. Eventually they would jump into my arms and I would catch them.
If I asked most of you today could you be trusted you would answer YES.
Most of us would answer YES because we would reason that we are good and even Godly.
We don’t steal, don’t cuss, or even cheat.
But if I where to ask you can God trust you? The answer becomes more difficult.
1. Can God trust you when you are under attack?
2. Can He trust you when all hell is breaking loose around you?
3. Can God trust you when Satan decides to shoot a fiery dart at your Marriage, or at your children.
4. Can He trust you when the bank says the check bounced.
5. Can He trust you when the boss doubles your work and not your pay.
We all have been under spiritual attack at one time or another.
First realize it is Satan that has pulled the rug out from under us.
There are so many brothers and sisters ignorant as to where their trouble comes from.
We blame everyone but the one the Word of God says came to steal, kill, and destroy.
God does not want us to be ignorant about anything. This is why we have His Word. The Holy Spirit is here that we would have understanding of that Word.
Paul is saying here that I have been through the storm.
He is saying that trials and tribulation will come, and sometimes it can be almost to much to bear.
Satan and his imps have no intention of allowing you to be successful and at peace.
Paul was saying that in the mist of all this trouble, when I thought I couldn’t go on. God delivered Me! He is saying God set him free.
He is saying that God could trust him when the storm of life was raging.
THE QUESTION IS, CAN GOD TRUST YOU?
God wants to know will you stand and fight or will you cut and run?
Will you be the one that stands and watches or will you take action?
CAN GOD TRUST YOU?
The Lord wants you to know what to do when you are under attack and in a battle.
That’s why He shows us what Paul did and what Job did and what other saints in the bible did.
Job lost 7,000 sheep, 3000 camels, 500 oxen, 500 she asses, and all his servants and even his children.
But if you read the end of the chapter, you will find these words: Job 42:12 So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. The Lord knew He could trust Job.
What will happen when your name is called? Sharon, Joseph, Mary, Ben, or Jane.
When we get Stressed out – Stretched out – Worn out. Don’t cut and run – STAND.
We want to always encourage you and I want you to know that there is a season for all things.
Ecclesiastes 9:12 For man also does not know his time. Like a fish taken in a cruel net. Like birds caught in a snare. So the sons of men are snared in an evil time. When it falls suddenly upon them.
Satan has chosen you for attack he wants to steal your joy, kill your faith, and prevent you from growing in Christ Jesus.
Satan makes you want to quit, run, stop, and cry.
How are you going to react?
CAN GOD TRUST YOU?
There are some things that we can do.
1. Forsake not yourselves amoung the assembling of the saints. Attend church and bible study.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor.
For if they fall one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls,
For he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm, But how can one be warm alone?
Through one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him.
A threefold cord is not quickly broken.
When we get together and walk by faith, we can conquer any devil. After you’ve taken a stand, step-out on faith. Faith will move you over, around, or through your situation.
