Summary: This is a short outline for the first sermon in a series on Philippians. This sermon provides three ways to build others up according to the text.
I. Introduction
a. Background on Philippians.
i. Date –60AD
ii. The Church –Founded sometime during 49AD (Acts 16:11-40) Formed by women.
iii. Paul’s purpose in this writing is to give an update on his life.
b. Paul’s Introduction shows that the first purpose in his letter was to build up the Church at Philippi.
c. Paul shows us how we can build up others.
II. The First way is to Encourage Others. (3-8)
III. The Second way is to Pray for Others. (9-11)
IV. The Third way is to Share Your Testimony with Others. (12-14)
V. Conclusion
