Bring Back The Cross

Summary: Why are churches taking down their crosses?
BRING BACK THE CROSS!
So many churches today have taken the teaching of the cross from there doctrines and taken their crosses down because they offend the world. Compromising with the world is a sin beloved. Here is why:-
Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. ~Exodus 12:5-8
The first Passover was preparing us for 'The Saving Power Of The Blood Of Jesus. By sprinkling the Blood of a sinless, spotless, blemishless, Lamb of God on their house, the angel of death could not enter in and only the first born of the unbelieving were smitten.
• The blood of the Passover is significant to what happens now to the believing and the unbelieving in Christ.
• The blood of Jesus has healing.
• The blood of Jesus has saving power.
• The Blood of Jesus has the delivering power.
When the angel of death saw the blood on the door frames and PASSED OVER leaving the house saved.
The next Gospel story in the Old Testament is:
And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.24And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters. ~Exodus 15:23-27
This is unique and significant. The Lord Jesus was hung on a tree. The cross was made from a tree and when the cross was applied turned the waters into living waters and they became sweet. The water of the world is bitter and you will thirst again. But the Living water is sweet and life giving. The tree turned bitter into sweet. Amen!
Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. ~Numbers 21:7-9
The significance in this is that if you read in John 3:15-16, Jesus gives the comparison.
Like the way Moses lifted the serpent on the pole, so must 'The Son Of Man' be lifted up. As long as the people kept their eyes on the serpent when they were bitten, they did not die. Why a serpent ? The serpent represents sin and Jesus became our sin. Why would God want us to keep our eyes on sin? Because the cross reminds us that...
.
• We are not perfect and we need deliverance from our sins!
• We can't save ourselves. We need Jesus to save us from ourselves!
• Jesus is perfection and unblemished. We cannot be saved without Him.
This offends some, Why? Because the pride of man does not want to believe they can't save themselves. Churches all over the world are removing their crosses because it offends...it offends because it reminds us that we must REPENT OF OUR SINS.
THE WORLD THINKS THAT IT IS OK AND HAS NO NEED FOR A SAVIOR. This is Satan's deception! Just like in the garden of Eden, Satan convinced to Eve and Adam through their pride that they don't need God. They can be gods themselves.
Let’s bring back the cross to show the world their error!
