This sermon explores God's immense love, the clarity of Christ's message, and our mission to live lives marked by repentance and forgiveness. Acts
Good morning, beloved brothers and sisters. Welcome to this blessed gathering where we come together, not as mere spectators, but active participants in the unfolding of God's word. We are here, not by accident, but by divine appointment. I believe that God has a unique message for each one of us today.
Today's sermon is a three-fold message that will take us through the manifestation of God's love, the unveiling of Messiah's message, and the mission of repentance and forgiveness. It's a message that will challenge us, inspire us, and hopefully, transform us.
In the book of Acts, we find Peter addressing the people who were astonished by the healing of a lame man. Peter points them not to his own power or piety, but to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He points them to the God who glorified His servant Jesus. This is the same Jesus whom they handed over and rejected before Pilate. This is the same Jesus whom God raised from the dead. Peter's words remind us of the depth of God's love, a love that is willing to forgive even those who rejected His Son.
God's love is active and powerful. It's a love that takes action. It's a love that heals the lame, raises the dead, and forgives the sinner. This is the love that God has for us. It's a love that is clearly manifested in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In the Psalms, we find a beautiful expression of this love. The Psalmist writes, "You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer." Here we see a picture of God's love as a relieving, merciful, and attentive love. It's a love that hears our prayers and responds to our distress. It's a love that is not distant or detached, but close and involved. This is the love that God has for us.
In the first letter of John, we find another powerful expression of God's love. John writes, "Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!" Here we see a picture of God's love as a bestowing love. It's a love that grants us the privilege of being called children of God. It's a love that adopts us into His family and gives us all the rights and privileges of sonship. This is the love that God has for us. It's a love that is clearly manifested in our adoption as His children.
In the Gospel of Luke, we find Jesus appearing to His disciples after His resurrection. He shows them His hands and His feet, and He eats with them. He then opens their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. Here we see a picture of God's love as a revealing love. It's a love that opens our understanding and helps us to comprehend the Scriptures. It's a love that reveals itself to us in the person of Jesus Christ. This is the love that God has for us. It's a love that is clearly manifested in the revelation of Jesus Christ.
In the book of Luke, chapter 24, verses 36 to 48, we encounter the risen Christ appearing to His disciples ... View this full PRO sermon free with PRO
