I WE HAVE ASSURANCE OF ANSWERED PRAYER

a. WE HAVE A PATTERN FOR PRAYER

Luke 11:2-4 Jesus told them, "Pray in this way: ’Father, help us to honour your name. Come and set up your kingdom. 3 Give us each day the food we need. 4 Forgive our sins, as we forgive everyone who has done wrong to us. And keep us from being tempted.’" [CEV]

b. WE HAVE AN APPROACH TO PRAYER

John 14:14 ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it! [NLT]

c. WE HAVE ASSURED ANSWER TO PRAYER

Ephesians 3:20-21 20 Now to Him Who, by His power that is at work within us, is able to carry out His purpose and do superabundantly, far over and above all that we dare ask or think - infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams – 21 To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. II WE HAVE ASSURANCE VICTORY OVER TEMPTATION

d. HE WILL KEEP US FROM FALLING

Jude 24 all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. [NLT]

e. HE WILL GIVE VICTORY OVER TEMPTATION

I Corinthians 10:13 God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. [NIV]

f. HE WILL REWARD FOR RESISTING TEMPTATION

James 1:12 Blessed is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive the victor’s crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him. [Amp]

III WE HAVE ASSURANCE DIVINE GUIDANCE

g. HE GUIDES BY HIS PRESENCE

Hebrews 13:5 Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” [NLT]

h. HE GUIDES BY HIS WORD

Psalm 119:105 By your words I can see where I’m going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path. [The Message]

i. HE GUIDES BY HIS HOLY SPIRIT

John 16:13 when the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. [NIV]

IV WE HAVE ASSURANCE ETERNAL LIFE

j. HE IS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH

Hebrews 12:2 Looking to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. [Amp]

k. HE IS THE SHEPHERD AND BISHOP OF OUR SOULS

I Peter 2:25Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls. [NLT]

l. HE GUARANTEES ETERNAL LIFE

John 10:28-29 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no-one can snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no-one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. [NIV]

V WE HAVE ASSURANCE IN DEATH

m. HE HAS CONTROL OVER DEATH

Revelation 1:18 I am the First and the Last. 18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades. [NIV]

n. HE GIVES COMFORT IN DEATH

Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. [AV]

o. HE REMOVES THE TERROR FROM DEATH

I Corinthians 15:55-57 Where now, O death, is your victory; where now is your stinging power? 56 It is sin which gives death its sting, and it is the Law which gives sin its power. 57 All thanks to God, then, who gives us the victory over these things through our Lord Jesus Christ! [JBP]

VI WE HAVE ASSURANCE OF A PLACE IN HEAVEN

p. HE IS PREPARING A PLACE FOR US

John 14:2-3 There are many rooms in my Father’s House. If there were not, should I have told you that I am going away to prepare a place for you? 3 It is true that I am going away to prepare a place for you, but it is just as true that I am coming again to welcome you into my own home, so that you may be where I am.
