Bless The Lord

Summary: The sermon shares how David considers Why and how he will bless the Lord.
Psalm 34
1 A Psalm of David, when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
1. David said, "I will bless the Lord"
A. David will bless the Lord "At all Times" vs1
To be a blessing to God involves some right living Reading God sWord, Seeking God and being in pursuit of a righteous path for one's life .
B. David says I Will bless the Lord with my mouth vs 1
David's mouth shall consist of words that bring praise. From not just lips but from a soul that that yearns the heart of God.
C. David says, "I will bless the Lord with my soul " vs 2
David's soul has a deep fixation on being the vessel that the Holy One desires him to be.
2. David says, "I will Magnify the Lord"
A. David Magnifies the Lord because I sought and He heard vs 4
God delivered David when he sought God with his heart and God ears are attentive
B. David Magnifies the Lord because others are enlightened vs 5 The results of magnifying God is others are graced with the acknowledging of the Lord. God becomes the light unto ones path.
C. David magnifies the Lord because all that sought God. God
Hears vs. 6
Yes, David believes those that seek God. God hears the cries of the redeemed and our Lord supplies all our needs according to the riches that are in heaven.
3. David says the Lord Encamps
A. The Lord encamps to Deliver vs 7
God surrounds us with plenteous of escapes from the grip of Satan.
Psalm Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
B. the Lord encamps to bless those that Trust vs 8
Those that trust God shall mount up and run but will not grow weary.
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
C. The Lord encamps to cause us to see the Lord is good.
David sees the good of God in all the earth.
4. David says, " Reverence the Lord " or fear the Lord
A. Reverence the Lord because those that do have "No Want"9
B. Reverence the Lord because you will have "No Lack" 10
C. Reverence the Lord because one will not want 10
