Because He Lives

Summary: Looking at what we have because of the resurrection
1. Because he lives, I have PROMISE
A. The promise of his companionship (Heb. 13:5; Prov. 18:24)
B. The promise of his comfort (John 14:16)
C. The promise of his conformity (Rom. 8:29)
2. Because he lives, I have POSITION
A. I have a position in his will (John 17:20-21)
B. I have a position in his work (1 Cor. 12)
C. I have a position in his worship (Rev. 4:11)
3. Because he lives, I have PRESTIGE
A. We have the prestigious position of being God’s children (Rom. 8:16; 1 John 3:1)
B. We have the prestigious position of being his heir (Rom. 8:17)
4. Because he lives, I have POWER
A. We have power over self (Jer. 17:9)
B. We have power over sin (Rom. 8:37)
C. We have power over Satan (James 4:7)
5. Because he lives, I have PURPOSE
A. 1 Corinthians 5:17
