Summary: Don't let the world fool you. Crave for wisdom in the Lord. Ask Him for it and receive it

May the peace of the Lord be with you.

Topic: *BE WISE IN THE LORD NOT IN THE WORLD*

1 Corinthians 3:18-23 King James Version (KJV)

18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's;

22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's;

23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

Beloved, do not be too wise in the natural. Trying to analyse everything especially spiritual things for them to make sense or satisfy logical reasoning according to human wisdom before you accept it is foolishness with God.

The things of God do no always make sense to the natural mind. They are not always logical because they are spiritual things. Know that, sometimes, they may satisfy logical reasoning though.

Beloved, if you will triumph in all things according to the work of the cross, you will have to discern and accept spiritual things. You will have to know that though they sometimes sound or seem foolish to the natural mind, spiritually they are complete for victory when applied.

If you follow logical reasoning and trying to make everything make sense to you, you will be lost. You will be caught up in your own human wisdom and you will fail woefully.

Beloved the final verse of our text that states that all things are ours, we belong to Jesus and Jesus belongs to God, does not logically make sense. *How are all things ours when churches have to beg for space to hold meetings, Christians have to beg for food, money and clothing, when there are a lot of Christians facing lack, need and want?

It doesn't make sense to the natural mind. But we know that our Father in heaven created all things and owns all things, He has given all things, power and authority to Jesus and Jesus has blessed us with same.

It takes a spiritual mind to discern the spiritual message in the text. Every spiritual mind will discern the message God Almighty has for it in the text when he or she reads it.

It doesn't have to make sense before it makes meaning. Spiritual things don't always make sense but they carry a message, have a meaning and will always produce God's intended results without fail.

Beloved, *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. Beloved be wise in the Lord not in this natural world. Don't glory in men but in God Almighty, this is the wisdom of God.

Prayer: Daddy please empower me to be wise in YOU and glory in you always in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
