Be Still And Know...

BE STILL … AND KNOW By Wade Martin Hughes, sr. Kyfingers@aol.com BE STILL? We seem to live in a world of absolute CHAOS… The political systems seem corrupt. The medical systems are broken like Humpty Dumpty and can’t be put back together again. Society has bypassed male/female/ marriage one man--- one woman. The education systems are doing away with our standards. Churches are lowering their expectations. Have you heard the word PANDEMIC? CHAOS IS THE NORM… THE HOLY SPIRIT IS TRYING TO TEACH US TO TRUST GOD… TRUST THE DIVINE PLAN… PRAISE GOD… THERE IS A CLEAR MESSAGE… BE STILL… CALMNESS OF OUR INNER PERSON… READ THE BIBLE … HAVE FAITH IN GOD…

Be still. To our eyes life seems to be falling apart. We must know our eyes and our emotions distort God’s truth. We can’t give up my friends. God’s plan is DAILY RENEWAL BY PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL VENTILATION. God is in control. God has already made a way for us. God’s mercy and grace is being extended to us. The world may seem to be falling apart. HEAVEN IS COMING TOGETHER. 2 Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

BE REMINDED: WISDOM MIGHT BE FOUND IN SOME STRANGE PLACES… WISDOM SAYS: STAY CALM… DO YOUR JOB. DO WHAT IS RIGHT. MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS… AND TRUST THE UNSEEN HANDS… 1 Thessalonians 4:11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

There are hidden lessons in the Bible… We are often too busy to learn… HEAR ME? HEAR ME? Seems we have more smart phones than we have smart people. You can never correct a problem using the same pattern of thinking that caused the problem.

ROAD RAGE: I was watching Judge Judy. There was a man in her court that caused a big scene. Some man pulled into his lane. He followed the car for miles. The car pulled into a gas station. The man jumped out of his car. He did thousands of dollars damage to the other man’s car. Then he whipped the man. He asked Judge Judy what else could I have done? Judy sad: You could have stayed in your car and drove home! That man never did anything to hurt you. Just go home.

OUR GOD will fight the battle for you. What is your job? Just stay calm and keep your mouth shut! Silence can be golden. Be calm. Look to Jesus. Stay out of politics and stick to the GOSPEL… BE CALM, STEP BACK… GOD KNOWS OUR NEEDS… GOD KNOWS WHERE WE HAVE BEEN AND WHERE WE ARE. The question is will I ACCEPT and TRUST HIM? Exodus 14:14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

HOW EASY IS IT TO WALK BY SIGHT… NOT BY FAITH? Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

I HEARD A STORY OF AN OLD FARMER THAT WAS NEAR 90. HE LIVED IN THE COUNTRY. BE STILL! He had a gold pocket watch that was very old. The old farmer’s watch was dear to him. His grandfather gave him the gold watch. The farmer had lost his watch in the barn. He looked for several days. Finally in desperation the farmer asked his neighbors to help him. He was crying and all his friends gathered to help him. They looked many hours and the gold watch eluded them. They all went home. That evening a young man knocked on his door and said: SIR, CAN I LOOK FOR YOUR GOLD WATCH? The old man said it is hopeless but if you would like go ahead. The young man spent several hours in the barn. He came running out of the barn and knocked on the farmer’s door. I HAVE FOUND THE GOLD WATCH, I HAVE FOUND IT… The farmer enquired HOW? HOW DID YOU FIND IT? The boy said it was easy. I laid down in the barn and I got real still until everything settled down. It was so quiet in the barn… I HEARD THE OLD WATCH TICKING AND I WALKED OVER AND PICKED IT UP. The boy told the old man, sometimes in life you just have to listen… get still and listen…

LET US TAKE TWO WORDS AND SWITCH THEM AROUND AND SEE WHAT A DIFFERENT OUTCOME THERE CAN BE… CAN GOD? Do we see that the storm’s winds can sink our ship? We often pray: “GOD PLEASE CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF THE WIND.” This wind is blowing us into dangerous waters. Maybe God will calm your storm?
