Summary: So many times, we have become like Job’s friends, who have not spoken the right words about or from God to our friends like Job who are suffering in God’s will. We have spoken Godly words, but some or all of these words are not from God.
And so it was, after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, that the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.” Job 42:7
So many times, we have become like Job’s friends, who have not spoken the right words about or from God to our friends like Job who are suffering in God’s will. We have spoken Godly words, but some or all of these words are not from God. Some of these Godly words come from our feelings and emotions rather than from God. God considers these Godly words that are not from God or not in accordance with His word to be wrong(not right). We unknowingly attract God's wrath by using Godly words that are not from God. Today, if we have not spoken or not advised the right words to our friends, such as Job, we must go to them and ask for forgiveness. Otherwise, God's wrath might come upon us and punish us according to our folly.
Our Christian circle is filled with lot of people who, like Job's friends, give Godly advice that does not originate from God. If we give Godly advise that is not from God or in accordance with God's word, we might attract God’s wrath. Don't be like Job's friends, who came forward to help yet drew God's wrath. If you wish to help your friends who are suffering in God’s will, make sure you only speak or advise them the right words from God.
Before advising friends who are suffering or going through afflictions, check with God to see if the suffering or affliction is part of God's will in your friends' lives. Some people who give advice, like Job's friends, are unaware that Job's sufferings is allowed by God as part of His will and have nothing to do with Job's sins. If Job's friends had known that Job’s afflictions came from God, they would not have hurt him but rather comforted him. So many times, Godly advice that did not come from God, hurts lot of people like Job rather than comforting them.
