1 Thess. 5:9-11-For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing. (New King James Version)

1 Thess. 5:9-11-For God decided to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. (New Living Translation)

1 Thess. 5:9-11- God did not choose us to suffer his anger but to have salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 Jesus died for us so that we can live together with him, whether we are alive or dead when he comes. 11 So encourage each other and give each other strength, just as you are doing now (New Century Version)

Proverbs 25:11-A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold In settings of silver. (New King James Version)

Proverbs 25:11-The right word spoken at the right time is as beautiful as gold apples in a silver bowl. (New Century Version)

For every one person in your life that encourages you, there are three people in your life who discourages you!

A lot of times thru our life we hear discouraging voices and they say things like this:

You can’t do that.

That’s impossible.

You’re no good.

Can’t you do anything right?

You’ll never amount to anything.

You’ll never change. Why bother?

What’s wrong with you?”

We might hear these things in people’s voices, we might see it etched on their faces or in their actions, and if we’re not careful we might begin to believe them about ourselves.

And you may have heard such things from your family, from your friends, from a teacher, from someone you respected, someone you work for, or from the world in general – but we should not hear them coming from God’s people!

My definition of an encourager is: A person who make you feel better about yourself or better about the situation you are in after you talked with them!

Hebrews 10:25-not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. (New King James Version)

No matter what mankind has done to church, church is still God’s idea, He only established two institution…Marriage and Church!!

We are to encourage each other to attend church!

Proverbs 25:11-The right word spoken at the right time is as beautiful as gold apples in a silver bowl. (New Century Version)

Have ever had someone to encourage you just at the right time, sent you a card just at the right time!

1 Thess. 5:9-11-For God decided to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. He died for us so that we can live with him forever, whether we are dead or alive at the time of his return. So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. (New Living Translation)

Edify-To build someone up, to build someone’s confidence up.

Encouragement has the power to elevate, to cause people to excel even above their own expectations!

Do you spend more time criticizing than you do complementing?

We need to pay complements even if no one complements us!

Some people pay complements and they are waiting on the receipt! But God sees, God hears, and He is pleased when we encourage one another!!!
