BE A GOOD WARRIOR

TEXT:2 Tim. 2:3-5

3 As a good soldier of Christ Jesus you must endure your share of suffering. 4 Soldiers on duty don’t work at outside jobs. They try only to please their commanding officer. 5 No one wins an athletic contest without obeying the rules.

Intro: As Paul neared the end of his life, he is in a Roman prison. Paul wrote to young Timothy and give him instructions for becoming a good soldier.

Qualities of A Good Soldier.

1. HE FOLLOWS JESUS (HIS COMMANDER)

1.) He reads his orders (The Word Of GOD)

2.) He listens to the HOLY SPIRIT

2. HE WON’T QUIT

1.) He may fall down, bit he gets back up

2.) He gets tired but keeps going

3. HE IS KNOWS HIS ENEMIES

1.) He knows the enemies tactics

2.) He is not fooled by the enemies camouflage

4.HE IS A WARRIOR

1.) He not just a pew sitter

2.) He is on the battlefield

5. HE IS COMMITTED

1.) there is no quit in him

2.) He endures to the end
