THIRD SUNDAY PROPHETIC SERMON
SERMON TITLE
“AUTHORIZED TO INVADE TERRITORIES”
Primary Text
📖 Mark 16:15–18
OPENING (PROPHETIC DECLARATION — 7–10 MINUTES)
Beloved, Christianity is not a shelter — it is a deployment.
Jesus did not save us to hide us.
He saved us to send us.
Mark 16 is not a benediction.
It is a battle command.
Here, the resurrected Christ does not speak like a priest.
He speaks like a General.
And He begins with authority:
“Go ye into all the world…”
Not stay.
Not wait.
Not observe.
But GO.
I. “GO” — THE COMMAND OF MOVEMENT
The Greek word is poreuthéntes (p??e????te?) —
to move with purpose, to march, to advance.
This is not casual travel.
It is strategic deployment.
Christianity that does not move is disobedient Christianity.
Jesus sends us into:
Cultures
Systems
Territories
Strongholds
To preach — Greek: kerýxate (?????ate)
to proclaim as a herald, to announce with authority, not to suggest.
The Gospel is not an opinion.
It is a royal announcement.
II. “THESE SIGNS SHALL FOLLOW” — THE NATURE OF THE BELIEVER
Jesus does not say,
“These signs shall follow apostles.”
“These signs shall follow prophets.”
He says:
“These signs shall follow them that believe.”
The word believe — pisteúo
means to trust, rely on, commit fully.
So authority is not based on title.
It is based on faith-position.
Every believer is authorized.
III. “THEY SHALL SPEAK WITH NEW TONGUES” — THE FIRST WEAPON
This is the first gift Jesus mentions.
Why?
Because tongues is not noise.
It is heaven’s language in the mouth of man.
Greek: glossais kainais
New, supernatural, Spirit-given utterance.
Tongues is:
Not learned
Not human dialect
Not emotionalism
It is spiritual artillery.
Paul says:
“He that speaks in a tongue speaks mysteries unto God.”
(1 Corinthians 14:2)
Tongues bypasses the mind and engages the spirit.
Some say, “If it is not understood, it is useless.”
But heaven understands.
And hell understands.
Tongues builds the inner man (1 Cor. 14:4).
Tongues charges spiritual power.
Tongues enforces dominion in unseen realms.
It is the first sign because it is the first weapon.
IV. “THEY SHALL TAKE UP SERPENTS” — DOMINION OVER DEMONIC POWERS
Serpent is a figurative representation of satanic and demonic power.
Jesus is not teaching snake-handling.
He is teaching authority.
Luke 10:19 clarifies:
“I give unto you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions…”
The serpent represents:
Satanic deception
Occult influence
Witchcraft manipulation
Demonic control systems
To “take up” means: To handle, to subdue, to dominate.
Meaning: Dark powers cannot dominate the believer.
The believer dominates dark powers.
V. “IF THEY DRINK ANY DEADLY THING” — PRESERVATION UNDER ASSIGNMENT
This speaks of:
Poison
Harm
Destructive systems
Invisible traps
It is not license to test God.
It is divine immunity while on assignment.
When God sends you,
He covers you.
VI. “THEY SHALL LAY HANDS ON THE SICK” — TRANSMISSION OF LIFE
This is not suggestion.
It is impartation.
Healing is not sympathy.
It is power transfer.
The believer is a carrier of life.
PROPHETIC INSIGHT
Mark 16 shows that the believer is:
A messenger
A warrior
A vessel
A dominion agent
Not weak. Not helpless. Not ordinary.
CONCLUSION (SUMMIT DECLARATION)
Beloved, you are not saved to be defended.
You are saved to advance.
You are not preserved to hide.
You are preserved to invade.
You do not fight for victory.
You fight from victory.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
“I am authorized by Christ.
I carry heaven’s power.
I speak heaven’s language.
I trample serpents.
I overcome poison.
I heal the sick.
I am not a victim.
I am an enforcer of the Kingdom.
In Jesus’ name.”
