Summary: WE WILL BECOME A SUM TOTAL OF OUR DAILY CHOICES. Our live will be as a tale that is told. Moses mentions this in Psalm 90.
AS A TALE THAT IS TOLD.

After my surgeries, I was going weekly to Louisville to the Brown Cancer Institute. One of my sons would drive us. They placed a dual port in my right shoulder where the bone was gone. At times I had two medicines pumped in at one time. I would lay there as my family would go eat lunch and get out. Each time I had a painful lumbar puncture. I would watch people. I would really watch the young people coming in for their first treatment. There would be familiar faces. After my final treatment I looked around. I saw many suffering and I pondered what was ahead for them. In my weeks there, I would hear people get to ring a bell. I GOT TO RING A BELL on my last treatment. I looked at my wife of 55 years, my son. I looked around at all the suffering cancer patients. I held the rope dangling from the bell. I gingerly rang the bell. Sure I was excited, but my mind remembered some people would not live to go home. The battle with CONDROSCARCOMA and LYMPHOMA took me to a new place I had never known. From one rehab place to another, I had to learn to swallow and learn to walk again. In the rehab hospital I saw some hopeless cases. I had my wife bring my guitar and when I was better I played and we sang twice a day. I needed to GIVE HOPE to me and to others. The wheelchair was a prison. One older lady could not talk due to a stroke. We were singing AMAZING GRACE, SHE SANG EVERY WORD. The nurse said her family would be here later and she asked me to play and have the lady sing for their family. We gathered around the dining room table and the nurse said you will not believe this. As I started playing and singing the non-verbal lady sang every word. The family asked us to do it again and they videoed her singing. They were from another state. As they wheeled my chair out, one daughter came and hugged me. Thanked me and said: WE WILL PLAY THIS AT HER FUNERAL. I LEARNED MERCY IS TO SHOW LOVE AND FAVOR WHEN I DON’T FEEL LIKE IT. I HAVE LEARNED MERCY SURE BEATS RETRIBUTION.
ARE WE WAITING FOR A BETTER DAY? WHY NOT MAKE TODAY BETTER! HOW WILL THE TALE BE TOLD ABOUT US?
Psalm 55:6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
**“OH, LITTLE BIRD”
Ullie-Kaye
OH, LITTLE BIRD, COULD
I NOT BE AS JOYFUL, WISE AND BRAVE AS THEE.
NO ANXIOUS THOUGHTS NOR LOVE OF POWER,
JUST GATHERING FOR HER PRESENT HOUR.
OH, LITTLE BIRD, SO SOFT AND LIGHT,
YOUR WINGS ENDURE THE LONGEST FLIGHT.
OH, LITTLE BIRD, TEACH ME TO FLY
WHERE FAITH IS GREATER THAN MY SIGH.
SO WHEN THE STORMS DESTROY MY PLANS.
I KNOW I AM IN --- MY FATHER’S HANDS.
IF WE ARE NOT CAREFUL LIFE BECOMES A BURDEN AND WE LOSE SIGHT OF OUR GOAL… ETERNITY. EVERY MIRACLE STARTS WITH PROBLEMS AND TRIALS… THERE HAS TO BE MORE THAN A TALE THAT IS TOLD! HAVE WE FOUND OUR MISSION?
Ecclesiastes 1:1 The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem. 2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
WE MUST LEARN THAT WE HAVE TO EXERT EFFORT TO BECOME MORE THAN A TALE THAT IS TOLD. LIFE HAS SOME REAL LESSONS TO TEACH. MOSES WAS A CHOSEN VESSEL. WHEN HIS HE COULD NO LONGER BE HIDDEN, MOMMA MADE A BASKET, LINED WITH TEARS. MOSES SPENT 40 YEARS IN THE PALACE AS PHAROAH’S SON. MOSES FIRST 40 YEARS HE THOUGHT HE WAS HOT STUFF. BECAUSE OF AN APB AND MURDER MOSES WAS FORCED TO GO TO THE BACKSIDE OF THE DESERT. THERE MOSES LEARNED HE WAS A NOBODY IN A NOBODY PLACE.
MOSES TEACHES US OUR YEARS ARE AS A TALE THAT IS TOLD. Do we understand MOSES JOURNEY? Do we know MOSES IS GIVEN CREDIT FOR PSALM 90? Moses had learned life can be difficult. We must learn to pray. Moses is listed as A MAN OF GOD. MOSES LEARN GOD WAS EVERYTHING.
Psalm 90:1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Psalm 90:9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.
10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
