TEN HEALED ONE RETURNED TO SAY THANK YOU NINE RUDE
Luke 17:11-19 On the way to Jerusalem Jesus was going through the region between Samaria and Galilee. As he entered a village, ten lepers approached him. Keeping their distance, they called out, saying, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" When he saw them he said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were made clean. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice. He prostrated himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him. And he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus asked, "Were not ten made clean? But the other nine, where are they? Was none of them found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" Then he said to him, "Get up and go on your way; your faith has made you well."
In our culture there are things us American s consider as being rude. Graffiti, littering, cutting someone off in traffic, second hand smoke, cursing, gossiping eating and not offering, talking on our cells when we are in the company of others, going out of our way not to speak to each other, ignoring someone, trying to get our attention, inviting guests over and making them wait outside before coming to the door, complaining about a gift and the rudest of them all showing no appreciation not saying Thank you.
You sit there today saying so glad I am not guilty of those things. Self check are you a rude saved sanctified born again fire baptized Christian?
I have seen Christians being rude to themselves, to fellow believers, to a dying world and even to God the Father. Are you guilty of being a rude Christian?
My question is, are you a rude Christian?
As Christians we too do things that are rude. Instead of graffiting a building we where the labels of the world and Tatto up our bodies. We will not smoke our cigars or cigarettes in our church but yet we pollute or bodies the temple with all types of impurities. We won’t litter in public but yet we accept junk and mess in our spirits allow people to bring us trash and refuse to take the garbage to the curb and leave it there. We neglect to wash daily in the in the Golden laver carrying the stench of the world. How rude can we be to one self.
As Christian we might have dropped some of those four lettered curse words; however we still curse others by speaking evil and wishing evil upon them. The Bible says in James 3:10"Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. How rude are you when you can curse, put down and gossip about your sister or brother 1 Peter 3:18-11 "Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing thatye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it." How rude are you when you show no love to the brotherhood 1 Pet 2:17 says to love the brotherhood
Being rude to fellow Christians How rude are you?
How rude are you when Sunday after Sunday you are feed the word and a world is thirsty for the living waters and hungry for truth but you share not. We don’t feed them physically or spiritually?
Mat. 25:44 "Then they will reply, ’Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’ Mat 25:45 "And I will answer, ’When you refused to help the least of these my brothers, you were refusing help to me.’
How rude are you to the dying world ?
We have seen how we can be rude to ourselves, our fellow Christians , and the lost and dying world . Can we as Christians be rude to God?
Yes a Christians we are rude to God We invite him in our lives then we make him while he is trying to get our attention. We say we love him but don’t communicate with him. We block him out for our tv programs, our face booking, our video games. We pick up our cell phones and talk for forty five minutes while our Bibles just sit there. God wants to talk to us but we ignore him.
